But JLB,
He is using his Passages in context to clearly teach what scripture teaches and you are tearing, ripping scripture from their context to prove what you think.
Bill, the context of this thread is the Judgement seat of Christ.
The passage of scripture I presented is about the Judgement seat of Christ.
I agree that the "unsaved" sinners are not in this Judgement.
Here the Lord Jesus Himself, teaches His disciples privately about the Day when He will return, and Judge His people.
This truth is unmistakable and undeniable:
31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides
his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Matthew 25:31-34
Jesus also goes on to teach us that some that are gathered before His throne at this Judgement, will not inherit the kingdom of God, but frighteningly enough, they will be sentenced to the everlasting fires of hell.
“Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: Matthew 25:41
Pretty much everyone in this thread, has stated that the Judgement seat of Christ, is not for the world, but for His people.
I agree.
What I can't agree with, Bill, is that this Judgement has nothing to do with salvation.
I am presenting the scripture, that depicts this Day, and the truth it teaches.
I, for one, choose to embrace this truth, and allow it to change the way I think and believe and speak, and act, so that I will align my life, with His: with someone who will be welcome into God's kingdom on that Day, when we will all be together before His throne to be judged according to our deeds.
I want to hear these words from my Master:
‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I
was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ Matthew 25:34-36
