Lack of total commitment

"Everthing I am posting is my convictions. I will not debate it."
A very dangerous stand, without the Body of Christ (other believers) as affirmation or not, but as you wish.

If I ask anyone's opinion, it is not conviction.

51. 2 Tim 4:3-4
"For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ear away from truth and turn aside to miths.

These verses sound very much like our Chtristian world.

52. Titus l:15-16
To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny Him. They are detestale, disobeident and unfit for doing anythin good."

These verses are another warning for OSAS suppoters.
The Bible does not tolerate unrepented believers, but we are so torelant in our Christian communities.

53. Titus 2:11-13
"For the grace of God that brings salvation has apperared to all men. It teaches us to say 'No' to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope - the glorious appearing of our great God and savior, Jesus Christ,..."

We should show our "born again" christianity in our daily lives. Are we any different from non-believers? Are our kids well behaved? It's not to hard to see how we are doing. All we have to do is to look around our churchegoing families, our churchegoing neighborhood, our churchegoing relatives, our churchegoing co-workers...

54. Hebrews 10:26-27
"If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expections of judgement and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God."

Another warning for OSAS supporters. The judgement day is not just for the non-believers. If we give only lip service to Him, we will have an unpleasant surprise when we meet Him on that day.

55. Hevrews 11:l7
"By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice."

Faith is obedience to God. Faith is not just believing He is Son of God and Savior; that is just lip servicing.

56. James 1:14
"What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?"

This is another warning for OSAS supporters.

Most pastors and churches give the impression to their people that they don't have to have good deeds for salvation, and this is not biblical. Pastors are giving false assurance to their congregation. If we don't follow Jesus we are not saved. If we follow Jesus we will be showing a lot of good deeds. Why do we call ourselves Christians if we don't follow His teachings? If we call ourselves Christians without following Him we are lying to God. Liars are not welcome into His kingdom.

56. James 5:1-5
"Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the miserey that is coming upon you. You wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and siver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. Look! the wages you failed to pay the workmen who mowed you fields are crying out against you . The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighjty. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter."

This is warning to the rich people ( a category into which most of churchgoers fit).

57. James 5:19-20
"My brothers, if one of you should wonder from the truth and someone should bring him back, remember this: Whoever truns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover a multitude of sins."

Most of us churchgoers are not obedient enough to do this.

58. 2. Peter 2:20-21
"If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Chjrist and are again entrangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It woould have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have know it and them to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them."

This is another warning for OSAS supporters.

This is a harsh admonishment from Peter which apply tyo most of us harlfhearted believers.

59. 2 Peter 3:14
"So then,. dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless, and at peace with Him."

This is a very high standard. Are we encouraging each other to live up to this?
How do we keep our high standard? By being obedient to His teachings which shown in the NT.

60. 2 Peter 3:l7b
"...be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position."

This is another warning for OSAS supporters.

61. 1 John 2:6
"Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did."

Jesus is perfect. Are we aiming to be perfect? Jesus commands us to be perfect. Yes, it is a very difficult task but He says "with God anything is possible." He is expecting us to be good witnesses for Him for His purpose whcih is reaching out to lost souls.

62. l John 2-15
"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."

We love the world if we are not wholeheartedly committed to Him. Wholehearted commitment is the only answer to all of our spiritual problems.

63. l John 3:7a
"Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray."

How can we prevent it? Total commiment to Him!

64. l John 3:7b
"...He who does what is right is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil..."

We are on either God's side or devil's. If we are not committed to Him we are on the devil's side without even knowing it.

65. Rev 2:7
"...To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God."

This seems to be another warning for OSAS supporters.

I don't believe we can overcome unless we are totally committed to Him. what is going to hapen if we don't overcome?

66. Rev 2:10
"...Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life."

This is another serious admonishment. Do we have this much of seriouseness in our faith?

67. Rev 2:11
"...He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by second death.

Another warning for OSAS supporters.

Again, what if we don't overcome?
