That is the opposite of what a mature adult does. Do you teach your children that they are not responsible for their actions? That it is all up to God so who cares?

Actually, atheist accept FULL responsibility for our lives. My life (which is very good, actually) is mostly a result of my actions.

:smt038 Yet again, you proved your ignorance about God.
God knows that we can learn right from wrong, and if you read
the bible you'd have known this.
I haven't seen a responsible atheist yet, though they claim to high
heaven that they are. I don't see any maturity from any of them.
Their message boards even show how immature and silly they are.
You should see the way they treat each other even.
It's a shameful bunch when you see their message boards.
Pure nasty words and rage towards the christians doesn't prove maturity.

Oooh, nasty words....ooooh immaturity and sillyness. You sound like the Taliban.
:smt035 Could be? It Sounds like a hate crime!!!

find that stimulating in the least bit.
I guess I will have to tell my scientist co-workers that they are no longer intellectuals. I am sure they will be disappointed. ;)

So intelligence is now determined by the type of movies you watch? Make up your mind, first you say that intelligence is determined by religious preference, but now this?

8-) Well it is time you made the switch! I hope you will choose
better scientists from now on. Learn from your mistakes and go on.
Don't forget to smile and give God glory everyday!

 While it's true,you can learn alot from a dummy,I wouldn't
recommend being close to one. You can tell alot about a person by what
they do and by what they say,and by what they dwell on.
Watching silly movies and actually enjoying them doesn't sound very
mature or grown up to me.

How to spot a immature individual:
they love childish movies that small children still enjoy that are loaded
with childish pranks and immature language skills.
they enjoy changing the english language to words that are very unsavory
and they love fiction and cartoons. They cannot relate to reality, and they
have a warped idea of what humor and life are.
They don't believe there is a God,and they believe that there will be no
life after this one life.
They simply refuse to accept reality.

Now if only he could do that with the bible.

Putting down people because they enjoy harmless fun doesn't sound very mature to me...

Well, I guess we're all screwed. And I'm guessing you don't read anything outside the bible, right?

How to spot a immature individual:

Indeed, B. How immature I am for enjoying the works of Joseph Conrad, Joseph Heller, John Steinbeck, and Sherwood Anderson!

Nabeshin would cry. Why do you make nabeshin cry, blue, why?

Not exactly crude porn blue. Please don't make assumptions about me, and don't tell me you've never giggled at a dirty joke.

define childish, and by immature language skills you mean poor grammar and spelling?

How to spot a immature individual:

What do you mean by childish? What do you mean by immature?

they enjoy changing the english language to words that are very unsavory and they love fiction and cartoons.

define unsavory, what are cartoons? Are they 2D animation movies? 3D animation movies? flash animation?

They cannot relate to reality, and they have a warped idea of what humor and life are.

warped humour according to whome? Warped idea of what life is according to whom?

What is reality?

They don't believe there is a God,and they believe that there will be no life after this one life.

Tons of Christians and people of all religions and ages watch cartoons...what's your point?

They simply refuse to accept reality.

Once again, what is reality?

8-) The story about the tower of Babel and God confusing the
languages of all the people can certainly explain how we got all the
races. Why was race basically determined by a Geographical location
of the people? It determined how people looked, and it was in their
DNA too. The bible is very reliable, amen.

I just know I shouldn't do this, but once more, I will try to educate the teacher.

There is a project, it's a massive project that was carried out over many years by many, many people. It's called the Genome project. I'm sure you've never heard of it, but it was done. There is a film that was made - a true documentary - on what the Genome project discovered about our ancestors. I suggest that you contact any company that makes documentaries available and rent or buy this film. That film will actually explain to you why we are different, why we have physical characteristics that are particular to certain geographical areas. As a teacher, I'm sure you would like to keep yourself educated, as most teachers do with continuing educational credits.

I love that you include Dr. Zhivago, can we ever forget Lara's Theme playing as they sped across the country in the deep snows of Mother Russia? Sublime. The incredibly handsome Omar Sharif with the beautiful Lara in his arms dancing? Magnificent. I'll bet you liked the Magnificent Obsession too.

Actually, I haven't that yet, though I have heard about it. I just started watching "classic movies" about three years ago. I got the AFI list and the Oscar list and watched them all (took a while!). Through that, I am now a certified movie snob, but funny inane stuff like dumb & dumber still make me laugh. I think Elf was one of the best movies last year.

Yes, Lara's theme is definately one of the best. I guess I am a sucker for scores. The zither on the Third Man, the whistling on Kwai. Heck, the theme from the Great Escape is 50% of the movie.

Bravehearts theme is unbelievable, and the soundtrack of Pulp Fiction defines the movie.

 If you knew what I was saying, then you'd be sharp enough to
know that wasn't a put down. People shouldn't bragg and say they are
real intelligent when they are not anymore intelligent than the average
person. It's not mature to me to know that a grown man who claims he's
an intellectual,loves childish movies.

Normal intelligent people can understand this.

Then you've a very warped sense of maturity. Warped in the sense that you think you can presume upon a persons intelligence based upon what entertains them.

On the topic of scores, I prefer Nobuo Uematsu, Chronotrigger and FF6 are some of the best scored games ever in the history humanity.

Yes,I have my education, but it's not a liberal version of
education. I love school and I always have. I'd love to go back to college, but it will be a christian college. My great uncle was a professor. He was also a christian. Be careful of what you view on T.V.,especially
what it calls "TRUE". Don't be so easy to fool!
There are thousands of intricate systems in the body, each of which is
incredibly complex.

 DON'T BE REDICULOUS! OF COURSE YOU CAN.
If you have that much free time on your hands and you are
an intellectual,then somethings going wrong!!!
I entertain myself with Bible study, Gardening,Cooking,Reading, spending
time with my family,Geneaology,Bible Prophecy, Scrap-booking,Writing,
and various other things. I like good comedy. The kind that can make me
laugh for my maturity level.I don't think curse words and making sounds
out of ones body is funny. Most mature people would agree.
I leave the games to the children.
There are alot of smart people who do play those games ect....
but it's rare to find one who claims they are superior in intelligence than other people.
