Love your enemy

God's kingdome consist of people and angels who love peace, and love God and others wholeheartedly.

Why do you think God allows people who supports military? It is just so illogical. God is not illogical.

So was God being illogical in the Old Testament when he had Israel destory those who were in the promised land? Did he change his mind and decide to become logical?
 
Here we have God being illogical:

9: Zerah the Ethiopian came out against them with an army of a million men and three hundred chariots, and came as far as Mare'shah.

10: And Asa went out to meet him, and they drew up their lines of battle in the valley of Zeph'athah at Mare'shah.

11: And Asa cried to the LORD his God, "O LORD, there is none like thee to help, between the mighty and the weak. Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on thee, and in thy name we have come against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee."
12: So the LORD defeated the Ethiopians before Asa and before Judah, and the Ethiopians fled.
13: Asa and the people that were with him pursued them as far as Gerar, and the Ethiopians fell until none remained alive; for they were broken before the LORD and his army. The men of Judah carried away very much booty.
 
God is never illogical. when He ordered to kill wicked people in OT times, it was His decision to do so. We are not God. Destroying people is God's job not human's period.

Now we have Jesus; we are not living like those times. Jesus it telling us to love your enemy. It is very simple. It is so hard to follow because our selfish desire to control others. If we don't understand this simple teachings we dont deserve God's kingdom. why should we? We are behaving like everyone else killing each other.

Hi, you need to see the mindset of some here.. from Christ's Words of.. "many will be killed, by ones thinking that they are doing My service" (you can look it up for the exact Wording)

Surely you know that the 666 execution will be by these 'majority' of broadway ones? They will all be in unity on this! :sad Revelation 13:14-15.

Glad we agree. God is always logical. He is always consistent as well and he ordained militaries in the Old Testament. You do much handwaving to say there should be no military today. Sorry but I don't take your word for it. War of course needs to be for defensive purposes, but it is in fact allowed by God.
 
I don't know what you are agreeing with me. I am talking about inconsistency of churches' teaching of the military and Jesus' teaching of "love your enemy". You are conveniently twisting around. You cannot fool anyone but yourselves. And remember this practice's support comes from the majority too. A red flag.

So, before you start ranting about the military, use your head a little bit. But that military that you so despise is the ONLY thing that has made it possible for you to reap the benefits that so take for granted.

And you are not the pacifist that you think you are. You are very quick to defend yourself or attack others as you see fit. You just use words as your weapon of choice instead of jets and tanks.

By the way, did not peter commit an act of violence when he cut of the soldiers ear? And didn't jesus tell his deciples to sell their stuff and buy a sword. I am pretty sure thats in the bible. I will see if I can find it or perhaps someone knows those verses and can post them.

No, I dont feel under attack. and I am not offended. Many times I get frustrated by the same questions over and over.

Majority in what sense? Catholics are not the majority of people in the world so there must be another majority you speak of.
I guess by majority you are implying that I am a trinitarian and trinitarians are the majority. Do you think the majority is always wrong?

I am just heeding what the Bible says, and so far it has been helping me to stay on the truth. I always investigate thoghroughly if they are Biblical in every ways because there are many bad witnesses is going on in the churches. How and when did you become Catholic, thess?

Yes, Catholics are majority, and Protestants are too becasue they are agreeing with you in basic principles of Jesus teachings. Christianity is not polictics nor pupularity.

Everyone says that they are heading the Bible but believe differently.

Do you think the majority is always wrong? Yes or no? Is Catholicism completely or partially wrong?
