Can you sum of universalism for me in your own words.
How?
Nonbelievers who repent are obtaining salvation. Believers who repent are walking closer to God then they were yesterday.
Can you sum of universalism for me in your own words.
nonbelievers who repent might still not be saved.
Believers who repent might still be further away from Yhvh tomorrow than today.
All one has to do is believe and they're saved.
That's false
I believe it's not false. If you believe on the name of Jesus, truly believe in your heart that Jesus is God and that the sinner needs a savior you will be saved, eternity is eternity.
Correct, nonbelievers who repent still might not believe that Jesus is God or they might not believe they need a savior. The road to destruction is wide.
What do you mean here.
I believe it's not false. If you believe on the name of Jesus, truly believe in your heart that Jesus is God and that the sinner needs a savior you will be saved, eternity is eternity.
last first. even the demons believe that, and they shudder in terror. eternity is eternity. (dead or alive).
believers who repent, might go right back to sinning, then repent again, or get worse than before.
a lot of believers never repent, or rarely repent, and often don't repent of their daily selfishness(many are never informed of this, and/or deny it with the full 'support' of their coterie/group/church, so instead of repenting they remain in their sin... )
The whole point of theological discussions is to come to a knowledge of the truth regarding things that Scripture states. If no Scripture is allowed, then it is all opinion, and no one will come to a knowledge of the truth. So, yes, it is rather pointless. It's not pointless, we're having a good discussion here. Nonbelievers who haven't come to faith yet are being convicted of sin. The world is being convicted of sin. When you come to faith, God is bringing you OUT of the world. Jesus says we are not of the world anymore. Believers are convicted of righteousness not sin, nonbelievers like (atheist/buddhists/muslims) are being convicted of sin.
Actually, no, it isn't. Universalism is the belief that everyone who has ever lived will be saved, regardless of what they have done or believed. That, however, is not a topic for discussion.Gary said:That's Universalism.
...
no, the demons believed Jesus was God but they didn't believe in their heart that they needed a savior or that Jesus is Lord. big difference.
But you (have) been forgiven.
Once you accepted Jesus in your heart and confessed that he was your savior, you then have been forgiven of all sins.
The Holy Spirit no longer convicts us of sin, do you understand what that means JLB.
But why ask for forgiveness of things you were already forgiven for at the cross. The holy spirit no longer convicts us of sin.

Completely false.

That is not what Scripture teaches.
Trying to have a theological discussion without referencing Scripture is pointless--it all becomes opinion and therefore a fruitless exercise in trying to come to the truth of a matter.
OSAS can not be found within the Word of God, therefore it is false.
Now what?
Now who is Jesus Christ to you................He's the door onto salvation.
What is the difference between relationship and fellowship with Jesus.........Relationship/Personal ....................................................................................................................................Fellowship/Social
Do you think he only had to die once for his blood to be official,
or does he have to come back to earth and die again and again........I'm struggling between 2 answers.
........................................................................................... ..................1. "What am I...2"?
......................................................................................... .....................2.This is a ridiculous question.
.................................................................................. .............................I can't decide.
Let's ask each other questions, it's how we learn.........What is OSAS and what are your beliefs regarding this doctrine?
.
It can and has been found. Some would rather not "see" it, though.I vote for Gary's post to be the winner.
What else does God require to be saved? All one has to do is believe and they're saved.
That's false
