PS: from back a bit

With a well-defined company policy posted and/or an agreement requiring signature that protects the company's right to refuse any design or body location, then a Christian woman should be fine in owning and directing her own tatt parlour. ..

:wave

Well, yes, I agree that it's really fine that Christian women choose to have it done.

And really fine that some Christian women choose to provide the service with their tattoo and business skills.

Blessings.

Hi Matthew! So from the other thread I saw that you have a bit of ink; in faith based designs maybe? or maybe kind of in simple tribal patterns covering a bit of skin area?

Do you think you are now already done getting more ink?

Blessings.

On another thread, it has been discussed how someone came to know the Lord at a Christian rock concert. I was just thinking that tattoos are part of the rock concert scene, and it's not a question of whether they are good or bad, (though presumably if they are faith based and point people to the Lord there is something good about them), but they are in a sense kind of inevitable, at least for some ppl. Two cents'.

(Thanks, @Atonement , for your thoughts, anyhow...)

..That being said I do want to get a faith based tattoo. A simple, modest tattoo for myself. Farouk has pointed out many times already that a faith based tattoo has a different meaning behind it than getting a tattoo just for show. Understanding the difference between motives is crucial here I think.

I dont think its about the church changing to fit the times. It's about the church being christ like and accepting everyone regardless.

Re. Prophetic Ink:

Sounds like a place such as Prophetic Ink would then help you receive the simple, God-glorifying design that you really desire! Blessings.

My daughter does like it, she told me that it was a reminder so that I would never forget her haha!.. .
Atonement:

So how are you plans going, re. your cousin finishing your tattoo?

(I think you said your daughter hesitates to go with you to the parlor, though, to watch...)

Blessings.

Haven't really thought much more about it to be honest. Busy with work - we'll see though, it'll happen at some point. :)

Atonement: Well, you sound convinced of this, anyway. :)

(Maybe your daughter will overcome her nervousness, also, and accompany dad and watch it happen...)

Blessings.

No I really do not want her to go with me, I don't want her to get over her nervousness (she's only 11), I do NOT want her to get any tattoos. However, since I have one that needs touched up, this would be the ONLY reason I go back (touch it up). Other then that I'm not happy with anything new on my body, and especially on my daughter.. I have no regrets of getting my tatts, but if I could go back and do it all over again. I wouldn't go through with it!

@Atonement : Wasn't suggesting she got any, in any case; and, as per the photos on your personal page she actually looks waaay over 11, as well.

You are a blessed dad, anyway.

@Kaileymarie : What I wanted to say also was that it's obviously a very personal thing for the individual concerned and, for example, @Atonement , who seems to try to be a spiritually minded person, can say this about his (although he might have done things differently):
I have no regrets of getting my tatts..
If and when you do it, no one else should make you wish to regret it as a Christian woman with tattoos who wants to do it again. I agree; there is plenty of scope for a suitably placed 'simple modest tattoo' that is also faith based in design.

Blessings.

I know right, I can see the boys already knocking on my door :phaser
Atonement: Oh well :). I'm sure anyway that she has pleeeeenty of time before she needs even to think about a potential husband (or even a tattoo, or whatever else...) Blessings.

questdriven:

You like doing this, from time to time, do you?

(You're an artist, anyway.)

Blessings
Only that one time, but I'd do it again.
@questdriven : I guess in the foreseeable future you're only considering doing it as a temporary design, then. Blessings.

PS:

The gender aspect should be the same for a women or a man, but since you did say a women then I would have no problem with that of a women owning her own parlor..
for_his_glory:

Yes, while there is no need for a woman - or man - necessarily to get involved at all, yet for those who do wish to, it's a question of knowing they can have the confidence to go ahead and do it.

It's very clear that tattoo equality for women is firmly established.

In itself, a good thing, right? :)

Blessings.

lol. I think that it has the potential of reaching out to certain people and maybe making an opening for a chance to witness.

I am kind of old fashion in some ways I guess. I don't look down on women who get tattoos or judge them to be a certain way because of that. But....
I just don't like seeing them on women. Maybe I'm just too old. Guys get tattoos, girls wear nail polish. But that's just me. :)

Hi @Deborah13 : how are you doing these days?

So do you think you'll get more accustomed to it, as time goes by? because it's ever so widespread and then there is all the witness potential of a good, tasteful faith based design as well.

(Say Hi to Lexy as well!)

Blessings.

(PS: Tastes differ widely, of course, but, now that it's so widespread, for so many people it's probably not too different from simply getting extra ear piercings done.)

Hi farouk, nice to hear from you. Haven't seen you here much. Hope you and your wife are having a wonderful summer.

I think I'm as liberal as I'm ever going to get. Still think nail polish is for girls. :)

Lexy, says Hi back.

Wow this thread is still going? Blessed is the man (or woman) who can answer to God with a clear conscience. I hope those who get tats at least have some earnest prayer before they get them? I doubt many would if they really heard the voice of God, but maybe it is the Will of God for some?:chin

Like you say, women as well; the fact is that it's precisely with a view to being God honoring in witness that many Christians do go under the needle for faith based designs that, moreover, are proven conversation-starters.

It's not for everyone, though.

Blessings.
