It is both religious and secular. The pope laims to rule over heaven, earth and hell wearing a triple crown to show it. Many countries have diplomatic nations with the Vatican. The Vatican issues Euros. It is a secular state first and a religious entity second. It has ruled kings, crowned kings, even made kings kneel down and crowned kings using their feet.

From what I can tell the only people who are drunk on the wine of the adulteries of the the Catholic church are Catholics. The rest of us don't even like the Catholic church, lol. And they haven't been around long enough to somehow be a part of the ancient Babylonian false worship of God.

As an hitoricist the things I disagree with in your post are the seven heads, the revived head. The Latin name, as the number is given in Greek and the solution should be in Greek. Irenaeus, writing long before there was a papacy, gave the answer, LATEINOS, the latin man, because, he said, the Latins are those who currently hold the power.

The only thing I can agree with is the seven heads, because after all, the reigning power that "is" in apostle John's time was obviously the Roman Empire, the others before it fits the other beasts in prophet Daniel's vision.

The deadly wound came in 1798 when General Berthier of France, who made his entrance into Rome, abolished the Roman government and established a secular one and captured Pope Pius VI, who soon died in captivity in Valence, on August 29, 1799. In 1801 Napoleon made an agreement with Pope Pius II establishing Napoleon's Organic Articles of granting the Tribunal and the Corps legislative partial control of the concordat in order to help the state monitor any politically harmful Catholic or Protestant movements or activities. The problem with this is it's has the seven headed beast and the whore being the same thing. The whore sits on the seven headed beast and is destroyed by the beast. The whore system of commerce is in conflict with the end-time beast system, not aligned with it.

For God has put it in their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God's words are fulfilled.

Is the RCC the present face and manifestation of this spirit of worldliness? Has it ever been? In my opinion, no. The spirit of the air that drives the love of money and all of man's endeavors and achievements is what sits on the kings and peoples and kingdoms of the world. It is seen in whatever secular false worship of demons is popular at the time. It's interesting to note how wealth and monetary advantage are so often linked to the worship of spiritual entities. Particularly demonic ones.

Protestants who subscribe to the RCC theory have to decide whether the 7th/8th king is the RCC, or if the whore sitting on the beast is the RCC. It can't be both.

Rev 17 and 18 speaks of mystery Babylon as it is even a mystery to those today that have no understanding. In Rev 17 the great harlot rides the beast so the harlot can not be both the harlot and the beast. The seven heads are that of the Babylonian Empire, Medo/Persian Empire, Grecian Empire and Roman Empire. The ten horns represent the nations the Roman Empire scattered to when the deadly wound was put upon them as even today these nations are controlled by the Roman Empire, Daniel 7:23-25; Rev 13, 17, that would love nothing less then to escape this ruling power.

In Rev 17, 18, 19 the great harlot (son of perdition) is described and then destroyed along with the beast being the existing Roman Empire. The earth bewails their destruction as they were made rich by the woman. In the NT the term woman is used as a symbol for a church. The woman mentioned in Rev 12 is the true Church of God as she is carried away into the wilderness and taken care of by God.

This woman in Rev 17 sitting on a scarlett beast is a spiritual harlot as she entered into adulterous alliances with the leaders and kings of every nation around the world including America. Rev 18 describes all these worldly leaders and kings fornicated with her and will bewail her destruction. In her was found the blood of the prophets and the saints and all that were slain on earth.

A common understanding is that the Great Harlot of Mystery Babylon is a global religious system, a counterfeit of the Woman of apocalypse in chapter 12, that city is its headquarter, and her offsprings are all kinds of false religions; whereas the Beast is a global military and political system which empowers the Harlot and her offsprings and persecutes the Woman and her offsprings. But there will come a day when this Harlot's value for mind control is exhausted, she becomes a dead weight to the Beast, then the Beast will discard her.

I never said they are one and the same. The beast out of the sea is a Luciferian controlling global system since the time of the Babylonian Empire and the son of perdition (harlot) who makes all fornicate with her, being an actual person being the beast out of the earth, will sit on his actual throne in Jerusalem after the sounding of the seventh trumpet to deceive the nations for 3 1/2 years promising peace, safety and provision to everyone who will take its mark.

This system hides itself by calling themselves Christians in order to deceive others, but are only the workers of iniquity.

Let's not make this about Pope Francis or the Roman Catholic Church as one can find paganism in many Churches. It goes deeper than that and is a violation of the ToS 1.4 to bash anyone's religion. There are many Catholics that are Spiritually born again, but like the structure of Mass. The RCC itself is not the whore of Babylon, but that which disguise's itself hiding under the heading of the RCC in order to deceive those who are taken in by the deception of this Luciferian system.

We know there are pagan elements of worship in various Christian religions. I'm saying the harlot economic system is not a Christian religion. Not the real Christian religion or a false one. It is a Babylonian pagan system. Thus it's designation as 'Babylon'. Babylonian worship is pagan worship through and through.

Babylon/The Whore is the economic system of the world. An economic system founded on pagan, godless desires and the love of this world. Christians are exhorted to not be caught up in it:
