You might be assuming somethings here beyond what is written.

So the Whore is a system? How does that work with the description in Revelation?

Rev 12:3 the other sign John saw was a great red dragon meaning Satan. Remember, this is a vision and a sign as Satan has not yet been cast out of heaven until the beginning of the 3 1/2 years of the greatest tribulation we will ever see nor ever see again, Matthew 24:21. The description of the dragon being great and red depicts its nature and character as being fierce and murderous, John 8:44. This red dragon is depicted as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. This is also confirmed in Rev 17 as mystery Babylon is described. The seven heads and ten horns refer to the original ten kingdoms of which three were subdued by the little horn of Daniel 7:8. The last kingdom which stands greater than all the others is that of a revived Roman Empire that takes control over all the ten nations who then implements a deceiving peace treaty with the Muslims in which the Dome of the Rock will be given over to the son of perdition as he reigns from the very Temple mount of God, meaning the holy place in Matthew 24:15. This is the abomination Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:15, 16 that we are to flee from when we see the son of perdition take his seat in Jerusalem for 3 1/2 years.

Rev 13 the beast rises up out of the sea as the sea here is symbolic of people and nations as in a sea of humanity, Daniel Chapter 7:1-8; Revelation 17:15. This beast is a Luciferian system that controls world wide economics, political, military, educational, environmental and false religious system. This beast system that Satan works through gives its power to the beast out of the earth as the beast out of the earth appears as the Lamb of God, but is a false Christ being the son of perdition, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12, with two horns. The two horns represent the Old Roman Empire that received its deadly wound back in 1798 by General Berthier who made his entrance into Rome and abolished the Roman government and established a secular one. That caused them to scatter into the other ten nations (ten horns). The wound was healed in 1929 by Mussolini.

Instantly, Rome comes to mind as the only city renown to history, for over two thousand years, as The Seven Hills City.​

City of renown to man, not to God. The only city of honor or blasphemy on earth with 7 hills, that most matters to God in all of prophecy of Scripture, is Jerusalem. Both the earthy and heavenly one.

A little wisdom of Scripture says it's Jerusalem, where our Lord was slain.

Historical knowledge of Roman Imperialism, is that all former kings and kingdoms ceased to exist, when Roman legions destroyed their armies and power. Rome didn't rule and reign over kings, but destroyed them and took their kingdoms for provinces of Rome. Including that of the Herodian line over Judea.

The great whore is that great city that is spiritually Sodom and Egypt, where our Lord was crucified: Jeruslaem.

This is also confirmed in Revelation 12:6 the church of Jesus would hide in the wilderness for exactly 1260 days (years) or 3 ½ years.​

The churches of God were in the wilderness apart from the dominant religion of man since the beginning, when the church at Jerusalem was being persecuted by the Jews religion.

It can't be Rome because at the time of John's vision this eighth king "was, and now is no more":

8The beast that you saw (the beast out of the sea-Revelation 13:1)—it was, and now is no more, but is about to come up out of the Abyss and go to its destruction.

So the eighth king, what we call the anti-christ, the beast out of the sea, can not be the Roman empire.

The "one is" during John's time, the fifth king, which was Rome, CAN'T be the eighth king, the beast out of the sea, the anti-christ king/kingdom, that John says "was, and now is no more".

Well I don't believe that the RCC is the Whore... so why should I comment?

We know it's a city (a city, I contend, that represents the ancient Babylonian system of commerce in use to this day). And I don't see how the whore can also be the scarlet beast. They are two distinct entities. The whore being destroyed by the scarlet beast and the 10 kings. So, if the whore is the RCC, then the RCC can't be the anti-christ, and vice-versa.
