Instead of 15-20 years of confusion on forums, why not see immediately all of Romans, in a summary regarding the law, and how the law is no longer. The purpose is to no longer be under the school master, as faith came. ( Galatians 3:25.)

The reprobate are left off by God to do those things which are not convenient, unrighteousness, covetousness, envy, debate, pride, inventing evil things, disobedience, covenant breakers, implacable ( not correctable.) they know the judgement of God, that they who do such things are worthy of death.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

Romans 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

The Gentiles have not the law, instead they show the work of the law written in their hearts.

The Gentiles ( uncircumcision) keeps the righteousness of the law, to count them circumcised. ( the circumcision of Christ in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh. Colossians 2:11.)

The Gentiles ( uncircumcision) fulfil the law by nature, judge the circumcision, who by the LETTER transgress the law.

Romans 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

Romans 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

Romans 2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?

Romans 2:27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?

Now the righteousness of God WITHOUT THE LAW is manifested, the righteousness of God by faith of Jesus Christ, upon all them that believe.

Boasting is excluded, not by the law of works, but by the law of faith. ( the law of Jesus Christ.)

It is one God who justifies the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through faith.

Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Romans 3:30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

If they who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void. The law works wrath, where no law is, there is NO TRANSGRESSION.

Romans 4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

The law entered to abound the offence. ( of Adam.) But where sin abounded, ( in the law) grace ( through Christ) much more abounded, sin had reigned unto death, now grace reigns through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

We are buried with Christ into death, that like Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, we also walk in newness of life.

Our old man is crucified, THE BODY OF SIN DESTROYED, to henceforth not serve sin, for he that is dead, is freed from sin. ( WHO SHALL DELIVER ME FROM THE BODY OF THIS DEATH ? Romans 7:24.)

If we are dead with Christ we believe we live with Him, Christ raised from the dead, dies no more, death HAS NO MORE DOMINION OVER HIM.

SIN SHALL NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER YOU, FOR YOU ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW, BUT UNDER GRACE.

Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

THE LAW HAS DOMINION OVER A MAN AS LONG AS HE LIVES.

We are BECOME DEAD TO THE LAW, by the body of Christ, to BRING FORTH FRUIT UNTO GOD.

WHEN IN THE FLESH, the MOTIONS OF SINS WHICH WERE BY THE LAW, worked in our members to BRING FORTH FRUIT UNTO DEATH.

NOW WE ARE DELIVERED FROM THE LAW, THAT HELD US DEAD, to serve in NEWNESS OF SPIRIT, not in the OLDNESS OF THE LETTER.

Romans 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

We are carnal, SOLD UNDER SIN.

WHO SHALL DELIVER US FROM THE BODY OF THIS DEATH ? ( Our old man is crucified, THE BODY OF SIN DESTROYED, to henceforth not serve sin, for he that is dead, is freed from sin. Romans 6:6-7.)

With the flesh we serve the LAW OF SIN.

Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Romans 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

Romans 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

THE LAW WAS WEAK THROUGH THE FLESH.( WHEN IN THE FLESH, the MOTIONS OF SINS WHICH WERE BY THE LAW, worked in our members to BRING FORTH FRUIT UNTO DEATH. Romans 7:5.)

God sent His Son to CONDEMN SIN IN THE FLESH, to fulfil the righteousness of the law in us, who WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH.

The CARNAL MIND IS NOT SUBJECT TO THE LAW OF GOD.

BUT WE ARE NOT IN THE FLESH, IF THE SPIRIT OF GOD DWELLS IN US. If Christ is in us, THE BODY IS DEAD BECAUSE OF SIN. ( WHO SHALL DELIVER US FROM THE BODY OF THIS DEATH ? Romans 7:24 Our old man is crucified, THE BODY OF SIN DESTROYED, to henceforth not serve sin, for he that is dead, is freed from sin. Romans 6:6-7.)

Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

The Gentiles who did not follow after righteousness, attained to the righteousness which is of faith.

Israel followed after the law, ( of righteousness.) and did not attain to righteousness. They did not seek by faith. They stumbled by the rock of offence, as WHOSOEVER BELIEVES ON HIM SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED.

Romans 9:30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

CHRIST IS THE END OF THE LAW ( for righteousness.) TO EVERY ONE THAT BELIEVES.

The righteousness which is of the law is to do them and live by them.

BUT THE RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH IS OF FAITH, is to not doubt that Christ came down from heaven, or doubt that Christ was brought up again from the dead.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

Romans 10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

So all Israel shall be saved, out of Sion CAME THE DELIVERER, ( who shall deliver me from the body of this death. Romans 7:24.)

Ungodliness was turned away from Jacob, this is the covenant of the Lord, when God took away their sins.

Romans 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

The Apostle Paul beseeches us to present our bodies a living sacrifice. ( once we believed to be dead with Christ, and our bodies dead to the law and dead to sin.)

We are to be transformed by the renewing of our mind, ( THE CARNAL ARE REPROBATE AND SOLD UNDER SIN. GOD GAVE THEM OVER TO A REPROBATE MIND to do what is not convenient, debate, deceit. Romans 1:28. 7:14) to prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God. ( they know the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Romans 1:32.)

WE DO NOT BE OVERCOME OF EVIL, WE OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD. ( HOW TO PERFORM THAT WHICH IS GOOD THEY FIND NOT. Romans 7:18.)

Romans 12: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

We love our neighbour as ourselves, love works no ill to your neighbour, love is the fulfilling of the law.

Cast off the works of darkness, put on the armour of light. ( FOR THE GOOD THEY WOULD THEY DO NOT, BUT THE EVIL THEY WOULD NOT, THEY DO. Romans 7:19.)

Let us walk honestly, NOT IN STRIFE AND ENVYING.

PUT ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND MAKE NOT PROVISION FOR THE FLESH TO FULFIL ITS LUSTS. 9 they find a law, that when they would do good, evil is present with them. Romans 7:21.)

Romans 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Romans 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Happy are we if we have faith and CONDEMN NOT OURSELVES, if we DOUBT WE ARE DAMNED, BECAUSE IT IS NOT OF FAITH, WHATSOEVER IS NOT OF FAITH IS SIN.

Romans 14:22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

We who are STRONG, please not ourselves. ( THE LAW WAS WEAK THROUGH THE FLESH, God sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, CONDEMNED SIN IN THE FLESH.Romans 8:3.)

Romans 15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

Now Apostle Paul BESEECHES US, to notice them who CAUSE DIVISION AND OFFENCES, CONTRARY TO THE DOCTRINE WE LEARNED AND AVOID THEM.

They use good words and fair speeches to DECEIVE THE HEARTS OF THE SIMPLE.

BUT THE OBEDIENCE CAME ABROIAD, and they are to be WISE UNTO THAT WHICH IS GOOD, AND SIMPLE CONCERNING EVIL.

The preaching of Jesus Christ is now made manifest, made known to all nations for the OBEDIENCE OF FAITH.

Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.

Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

The STRENGTH OF SIN IS THE LAW. ( They delight in the law of God, but see another law in their members, bringing them into captivity to the law of sin. They delight to know God's ways, as those that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God. Isaiah 58:2. Romans 7:22-23.)

We are given the VICTORY THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. ( who shall deliver us/give us the victory, from the body of this death ? Romans 7:24.)

Able ministers not of the letter but of the Spirit. The letter kills, the Spirit gives life. ( WE ARE DELIVERED FROM THE LAW THAT HELD US DEAD, TO SERVE IN NENESS OF SPIRIT, AND NOT IN THE OLDNESS OF THE LETTER. Romans 7:6.)

CASTING DOWN IMAGINATIONS, BRINGING INTO CAPTIVITY EVERY THOUGHT TO THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST. ( They see another law in their members, bringing them into captivity to the law of sin. Romans 7:23

The flesh lusts against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh, so that they cannot do the things that they would. ( FOR THE GOOD THEY WOULD, THEY DO NOT, BUT THE EVIL THEY WOULD NOT, THAT THEY DO, Romans 7:19.)

They that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. ( Our old man is crucified, THE BODY OF SIN DESTROYED, to henceforth not serve sin, for he that is dead, is freed from sin. Romans 6:6-7.

1 Corinthians 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Galatians 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Anyone notice, to dissect the book of Romans, or any of the Epistles, ( the various different threads people strive over for years and years on these forums) causes only blindness, confusion, strife, debate, contention, dispute ?

How many people on the forum agree, when they see Romans has no requirement to be debated on, that Romans 7 is the same as Romans 1, through every chapter, that all the Apostle Paul has told about, is the end of the requirement that the Jews had, because they die in their sins for not believing that Jesus is the Christ ?

No wonder it is the time when they bring in damnable heresies, because any opinion, is heresy, it is non consenting, non acknowledgment, now confession of Christ, it is denial as prophesied by the Lord God.

The proof is absolute that it is them, they are proud and only focus on questions and strifes of words, and God has told this brings envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, perverse disputes of men of corrupt minds.

1 Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is not the Gentiles who, having not the law, obey the law and are therefore a law unto themselves;

But it is Gentile believers who are a law unto themselves.

Unbelieving Gentiles are not obedient just because they are Gentiles.

Romans 7:14-25 is Paul using the literary tactic of IDENTIFICATION in order to define carnality in order to win the carnal person to Christ. Here, he becomes as the weak in order to win the weak (1 Corinthians 9:22).

It is not the Gentiles who, having not the law, obey the law and are therefore a law unto themselves;

But it is Gentile believers who are a law unto themselves.

Unbelieving Gentiles are not obedient just because they are Gentiles.
All of Romans and all of the Epistles, is teaching that the law is what stopped/stops people from obeying God, and when the law was gone, they can begin to obey in true holiness.

Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Romans 7:14-25 is Paul using the literary tactic of IDENTIFICATION in order to define carnality in order to win the carnal person to Christ. Here, he becomes as the weak in order to win the weak (1 Corinthians 9:22).
Romans, from chapter 1, until the last chapter and all of the Epistles, is description of the ending of the law ( its weakness, and unprofitability.) to the answer found in Christ, ( the Spirit) to now know the Lord, and be enabled to believe in the ways of being risen from the dead. ( sin/law) to righteousness with Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. ( faith of Christ rising from the dead.)

Again Paul is describing the law, ( the weakness of the law) and comparing them that are without law. ( strong, as they are under the law to Christ.)

The race is set before all, they have to obtain the uncorruptible crown, which is not the corruption of using Romans 7 as an example of corruption and failure, but of honesty of Paul keeping under his body and bringing it into subjection, to not be castaway after he preached the whole of the Epistles to us. ( taken as a whole, Romans is clear that there is one message, to not follow a law of sin, but the law of faith. ( men who speak about sin, cannot have faith, as whatsoever is not of faith is sin.)

1 Corinthians 9:20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
23 And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

All of Romans and all of the Epistles, is teaching that the law is what stopped/stops people from obeying God, and when the law was gone, they can begin to obey in true holiness.

Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Even Gentiles who did not have the law from the time of Adam to Moses, sinned (sin is the transgression of the law); though not in the similitude of the transgression of Adam (because sin is not imputed where there is no law; and there was no law from the time of Adam to Moses).

For the law is a principle that is set in eternity; and the fact that it was not given to the people does not mean that they couldn't violate it. They just couldn't trespass or transgress; because there was no law set before them as a line that they could cross over.

Still, in crossing over that line as it is set in eternity, they sinned (and therefore, they died as the result (Romans 6:23)).

However, their sin was not imputed to them because they were not crossing any known boundaries.

Rom 5:12, Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Rom 5:13, (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
Rom 5:14, Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

( men who speak about sin, cannot have faith, as whatsoever is not of faith is sin.)
Paul did not have faith?

He wrote the following:

Rom 1:28, And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Rom 1:29, Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Rom 1:30, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

Rom 1:31, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Rom 1:32, Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

He is most certainly mentioning sin here (and there are other instances also).

I would say that, according to Matthew 5:17-20, those who obey and teach the least of the commandments in the law shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

However, Paul is clear that we cannot save ourselves through works, law-keeping, obedience, or personal merit (Romans 3:20, Galatians 2:16).

If we are of the law we are under a curse according to Galatians 3:10.

But if we look into the perfect law of liberty and obey it, we will be blessed in what we do (James 1:25).

A contradiction?

No; for in Galatians 3:10, it is qualified by Galatians 5:1-4. It is speaking of those who are attempting to be justified by the law.

Those who, knowing that they have been justified through faith in Jesus and His shed blood on the Cross, move forward in their Christian walk and become obedient to the moral tenets found in scripture, they will be blessed in what they do; for they are not attempting to be justified through law-keeping; they know and understand that they are already justified through faith in the blood of Jesus.

Therefore, their obedience stems from a love for Jesus Christ in gratitude to Him for dying in their place.

Jesus said,

Jhn 14:15, If ye love me, keep my commandments.

There are a couple of things to consider Gordon, first and foremost it is part of the Bible canon and thus inspired by God Himself. Secondly, consider who it was penned to, to God's anointed people in Rome Chap 1:7. So consider the particular problems they were facing, and why God had to give them the information and reminders. Remember not only they, but all Christians benefit from what was written to our brotherhood in Rome of the first century.

Romans 1 makes one thing clear, those who are left off to a reprobate mind, have all unrighteousness, which is coveting, being full of envy, debate, deceit, they are despiteful, they are proud, they are boasters, they invent evil things, they are without understanding, they cannot be corrected.

That is the antichrist spirit, spirit of error, who are in the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life, my new thread details it today.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

All the knowledge people have, puffs them up, charity edifies. ( charity is not puffed up)

1 Corinthians 8:1 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

1 Corinthians 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life is of the world, ( the flesh) and is not of the Father. ( the Spirit.)

The pride of the antichrist deceiver passes away, all of the flesh pass away. ( puffed up by their fleshy mind.)

Colossians 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

The evidence that they are the last to receive correction, is because they are the ones daily, non stop, quickest to speak, slowest to hear, their wisdom does not descend from heaven, it is earthly devilish.

The word of truth begets us, ( pride is the flesh, it is not the truth, it is the lie of the antichrist.) their envying and strife is them lying against the truth, it is their confusion and every evil work.

James 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

James 3:14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

Even Gentiles who did not have the law from the time of Adam to Moses, sinned (sin is the transgression of the law); though not in the similitude of the transgression of Adam (because sin is not imputed where there is no law; and there was no law from the time of Adam to Moses).
Sin is what is not of faith, faith came and we were no longer under the law, it could be no longer once it is the law of faith.

Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Galatians 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

The evidence that they are the last to receive correction, is because they are the ones daily, non stop, quickest to speak, slowest to hear, their wisdom does not descend from heaven, it is earthly devilish.
There may be some who appear not to be able to receive correction; while the reality is that they are adhering to God's word and will not be swayed by human thinking. If they were to be shown in God's word how their doctrine is incorrect, they would immediately change their point of view.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

Is this a sinless perfection thread?

Anyone notice, to dissect the book of Romans, or any of the Epistles, ( the various different threads people strive over for years and years on these forums) causes only blindness, confusion, strife, debate, contention, dispute ?
It's rouge teachings, like sinless perfection, that cause debate in forums.

Which LAW?
  • Am I free from the need to wash my hands and kill a cow?
  • Am I free to murder the person that stole my parking space?
  • Am I free from all LAW? (antinomianism & licentousness)
Am I free to obey the command to LOVE God and my neighbor unregulated?
