Route pics

Original they werent.I have looked in those.this was taken at about 11 and I was looking east.so they might be reflecting light.the windows are blocked by a wall.why didn't they just seal them.

I figure by now you would get this was a church.the east end Is the sanctuary. The church moved two times and is like this

Because the arched windows are typical of many homes I've seen over the years, I didn't connect the building to a church. Go figure!

They are now but in the older churches here they are found easily.usually in mediterean revival ones.First Baptist Church has them.oh the Radin home.

Frederick Tremble was definitely not one to let the mortar stick to his feet! His biography is rather impressive for the body of work he did.

I have more plans to photo big blue.I will go way south and almost to ft pierce to get that.on the river in St lucie county you can see big blue.I have seen her from round island which is at the county line. Its where I dId the video of jaci and the manatee.

The landscape will surely look different without Big Blue. People will notice.
I have plans to go out and shoot the same photo of her from way east.the cooling tower us gone. The tanks are next.a new marina has been submitted to go where it is.I don't see that happening.

Won't it take a while to clean up the site?
Yes.I'm glad I'm doing this .enjoy what another who took photos of the diesel plant .the brewery has a fb page they posted this.the Road in front of it in the photo is no longer a culture de sac.I remember when they crossed the tracks.View attachment 10020 View attachment 10021 View attachment 10022 View attachment 10023 View attachment 10020 View attachment 10021 View attachment 10022 View attachment 10023 View attachment 10020 View attachment 10021 View attachment 10022 View attachment 10023

These are taken about in the early 80s.likely about 1985 when big blue got unit 5 and the covb was able to decommission the diesel plant as they used it to keep a cold start back up.they ran her monthly to keep her up.I thought the water tower went down after this.I remember it going down in the early 90s.I guess it was before that.it is next to the plant and not seen.

It was in sorry shape back then.

I'm glad that the building will enjoy new life as a brewery. Buildings need to be inhabited and have purpose!

That is likely taken during the decommissioning process. Unless I take a photo of the inside which I posted the only unit left you don't see the after.look at the inside .she has a partial dirt floor.it's gone now.that was near the old house like air compressor unit.the big gal left was able to be started by that.if I remember which unit it was.she got way worse ,way worse.

I stand corrected. If this is prior to the twin pairs and before the building of the extension to connect 19th pl and 20th St then it stands the water tower was taken Down prior to 1986.It was a large one and visibe from both bridges of the time.one angle I have photo graphed from and it is where the tower was.View attachment 10024
