Route pics

It could easily be set up as a historic site, with tours. Paid guests would help with the cost of upkeep.
the silos need a lot of work, they are probably going to to be razed if they keep ignoring them. I remember when they were in use and where that home you said needed a paint job was part of the diary. let me see.

yup I was right sexton had from that all the way to 43rd, years ago cows would roam that lot along with horses , they often had signs there follow me to tripson's dairy or something like that. I will photo more of this again once I ask the right tripson.

Then it's time to get the ball rolling for a historic designation of the property before the silos are too far gone.

I suggested that, but the society is funny about these things. the Gifford home lies in derelict as its not where it was originally.

There is a difference between the Sexton property (still in situ) and the Gifford home (not in situ). The Historical Society should lose their funny bone and start making wise decisions!

The historical society was around and allowed the Gifford home to be moved in 1976.it's still on the original gifford tract that went from the current diesel plant to about where the fingers begin,a.w.young park park drive between rt 60 to us1.so yes it's not exactly where it was but it's still on the original tract.

I guess there must be some people in the Historical Society who aren't so taken with the Sexton's and the Gifford home

The house and property, from this view, looks tidy ....... but the bottom picture, well.....the structure needs some work & paint

(Great reflection in the window, too!)

Same home we have talked about this before.it's an old grove home.the window is the old spanish colonial Part.if you look at the other photo zoom in to see it.it's probably only a one room home.this is the most western spanish revival home in my county
