Let me see, God inspires human-beings to seek for cures to ailments. Some of those cures involve surgery, some psycho-analysis, others drugs. Why would Christians not honour the working of God's Spirit in the lives of humanity by using the cures that God has provided them?

What are you getting at?

Luke "the physician", did Jesus say anything to Luke about his profession? Have you ever used a doctor during anytime in your life? Have you ever taken any medicine in your life?

I don't understand what you are getting at kiwimac.

Life and death, suffering and ease, God is the provider. Some of our greatest testimonies have came through suffering. As for medicine, it's like I said. Just take a close look at it. That does not mean that if you need an antibody, or whatever that you should not to go get one. It simply means be discerning.

I have an ache that keeps me up at night, and while a muscle relaxer might help I think I will continue to tough it out without one and keep praying that I may get a good night one day soon. I believe that it will happen.

By discerning I mean that you certainly should look at the ingredients and side effects of the medicines you intend to take. Pray about it first to make sure God delivers you to the truth of the matter because you are apt to get two different sides to the story. And then you do the research. Don't just toss it down the chute and trust all parties involved. I don't know what will happen to me but I am 100% certain that whatever it is will be the will of the Spirit and not that of men.

I can see that. I simply meant use the blessings God has given us via modern medicine.

I think if your faith is in medicine then by all means you should take it because if you don't you could very well die. There has been times if my faith hadn't been in God I would have died, so I let people live according to what their faith is in and I am at peace with that. :-)

How about Chantix? I'll throw that one out there because the name is obvious. I have testimony from people who have taken this and it destroyed their sleep. This drug causes horrendous nightmares that include matters of spiritual significance. The nightmares continue even after they've quit using the drug. There are drugs that produce effects that are not perceptible to the user but they do have a desired effect that the user may or may not be aware of. Have any of you ever taken Chantix.

Okay what about Lunesta? I wonder how many people woke up in a compromising position after taking this drug? Some to be sure. Any are too many but you have to give the people what they want.

This subject goes alot deeper than the hospitals and doctors. It goes well beyond the pharmaceutical industry. It's rooted in hell ,and it's deadly. I have seen it firsthand, it's touched my life in many ways.

ronniechoate,

If you are suggesting that Christians shouldn't take medication, then your position is obviously flawed.

Huh.
And GOD didnt 'provide' when Paul told Timothy to drink a little wine for his stomach ailment ?
Why didnt God HEAL Timothy so he didnt need to drink the wine, friend ?

youre logic is so full of holes its remarkable.

You have fun with that ;)

Never heard of it.
It has NO bearing on THOUSANDS of OTHER medicines that we take, friend. Not one single thing to make it comparable...

Oh please....be dramatic, why dont you. :nono

Some medicines arent so good and money is typically the reason.
And SOMETIMES they get something out onto the market believing it IS ok when its not.
Your conspiracy theories are maddening...

Pray about it first to make sure God delivers you to the truth of the matter because you are apt to get two different sides to the story. Pray that God puts His perfect will for you in front of you. And then you do the research. Don't just toss any medicine down your hatch and trust that all parties involved have your best interest at heart. I don't know what will happen to me but I am 100% certain that whatever it is will be the will of the Spirit and not that of men.

I do take that but it really doesn't seem to work. I don't take it every night because I haven't made a regular habit of it.

I wonder how many of the people who are on those other thousands of medications are also on one of these that I have mentioned. Or if not one of those then some other form of medication that attacks the mind and nervous system of men. Maybe their current medicine has a built in side effect that slowly attacks them unawares.
