Apparently you haven't grasped the implications of the idiom 'sons of God' and failed to reply to this datum, nor have you responded to the fact that the 'sons of God' and the 'daughters of men' bred giants, which isn't the natural result of mortal human unions. Both of these suggest that the 'sons of God' in Gn vi.4 are divine beings. I'm still waiting on your reply...

I'm with Brother Lionel on this one; there is no concrete Biblical evidence and without the "support" of personal commentaries and extra Biblical text, there is no case. It's just another one of those theories that has nothing to do with the overall revelation of God and HIS nature to HIS creation, mankind. Another case of using one's "brain" as brawn to get people to believe their off the wall Biblical theories.

COol then join the club of them that deny what is clear,,,you can protest you can avoid it but you cant change the fact that Genesis 6 says the sons of God (angels) went into the daughters of Adam and created Giants such as Goliath.....

if there was more clearer evidence then those few verses, then yes, but only jude 6 and genesis have such words, and even then it is not clear that the verses in jude 6 refer to the angels coming down to have intercourse with the daughters of man.

however i shall say this that i will ask my pastor on this one, and see why doesnt believe it and ask other pastors that i do know.

I'm still looking and studying on this one. From what I have figured out so far(and I'm pretty thick-headed) it all boils down to how you interpret bene-ha 'elohim. Typically son is a male off-spring but can also be the citizen of a city(as in Psalm 147:13) or a student (as in Proverbs 1:10). But neither one of these alternate translations seems to fit very well. Where the problem arises for me however, is that sons of God is obviously connected to God, but, from what I have found so far the connection could be either by birth or by creation. This takes me right back to where I was on pg.1--They could be the sons of Seth if you want to accept the birth translation or angels if you want to accept the creation translation. I guess I've just got to keep on studying.
