Some of the serious NT warnings to the churches

yes but, so many teach the word that way and the person never shows up at any church to be disciple. when I repented I wanted to learn. so I read the bible and few in the church then actually taught me. I asked the lord for the most of the stuff I know. down the years the lord has lead to me peeps that taught me.
God always look at our hearts because He lives in us. Because He lives in us He knows what we need.
No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. Hebrews 8:11 NIV

how does one Know the lord. I was raised a JW. so I prayed the sinners prayer then what would lead me from them to a church if I never was disciple? yes God can send men but they need to be told to come and learn of the word. sorry that is why I postulated this.theres enough truth in the jw faith to confuse most bible literate people if they aren't careful.

I only debate them when Im led of the lord.

Serving two masters is something the Christian is quite capable of doing, and, as you say, that service to the dark master of sin may look like "lost salvation" to some, but God knows the heart, knows the man/woman in that condition of split loyalties may seem to have forsaken Christ, but the important thing for us as "fruit inspectors" to remember is that He never forsakes us. That is hard for some to grasp, that His love is not dependent on how we act, only on how we believe. A true, faithful, sincere confession is never negated by sin. The relationship resulting from such a confession suffers under sin, but is instantly and fully restored with another true confession, not of the need for salvation, but of Godly sorrow due to that sin and a desire to repent (metanoeo, turn away) and be restored.

Number, you have got this right! lol
I think because many do not minister to the lower class they have no awarness of Gods great love and mercy for the downcast and rejected. I have ministered in the jails and prisons for years and have also taught in christian recovery programs. To understand Gods hunger and desire to love these people, one would need to enter in among them with Gods hand upon you. He is so willing to move on their behalf and so desires to look past all their faults and weakneses. I had rather pray and be with these outcast as most that I have found in the church. And the main reason most of these do not come into the church is because thay are to honest to partake of the hypocricy they see in those who put up a big set of rules, that they do not keep themselves.

God never leaves us but did he zombie you to accept him when he revealed himself? No he didn't. you choose him when he he choose you.

so a Christian can never hate? lie and murder and never repent after those things. I would like to know where and when this chastisement happens if they that do that die?

Well said. The road out of ignorance is a narrow road and we all end up bumping shoulders as we eventually fall into line.

Short and solid Truth, full of hope for all and Glory unto God.

Well I accept that what I am saying is hard to understand. Who is unjust but those who judge others by a standard they do not keep? Now what I have posted I have been taught By God, I am a true minister of God. The ministry of His righteousness see 2 Cor 3.
Now I would just ask that you would consider what I have said and pray about it, If God does not confirm it, then you should count me as a false teacher. But if He does and your eyes are opened, remember to lift me up to Him who exalts the humble.
Pardon, but to me this is unsound advice. I will not pray to the effect that God expose you as a false prophet. I do trust Him, as I am sure you do, to confirm the truth to me by the witness of His Spirit in me. I will lift you up to Him who is exalted and ask that you do same.

I think it was more noticing that my spirituality was being dragged down by a couple other people here. Most are very good Christians, from what I can tell, zealous for the Lord and are ordinarily following His path. However, some are still "maturing", if you catch my drift and the "old man" wants to come out and play! It is a cycle that was leading me backwards.

I appreciate your love and hope I am able to keep the "old man" under wraps better this time around.

Glad to open my forum session with reading this. I understand completely. I have to shake my head and praise God when He shows me how I have been goaded into goading someone.

why does the word say this

My people perish for lack of knowledge?

The end of 2 Peter 3 exhorts believers to 'grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ'.

Not just in grace. Not just in knowledge. But in grace and knowledge.

Blessings.

Of course this would be in line with the scripture that tells us to pray for wisdom. I have no fear of being exposed as a false teacher, and I am also very confident that God would in fact show you the truth of the points I was making.

I think the effect was to bring you into a place of discernment? For if what I am saying is true, a large part of the way you have seen scripture would need to be changed? If that does not require much earnest prayer then I do not know what would?
I am not trying to speak down of your knowledge, but I see that you are so grounded in Gods Love that He would open the deeper meaning of scripture to you.
I do not want to make this an issue, I accept your reply as that of being in an agreeable place, blessings and I will in fact lift the one known as sparrowhawke, up to the Almighty!

I think that the declarer of divine doctrine needs constantly to do so with a care and sobriety, having always checked that every phrase is in fact Biblically based.

This is also why sermon preparation time is very important.

Understand when we were born-again God now lives in us. To address your statement this is what the word of God has said, "if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself". 2 Timothy 2:13 - This why the Lord says, "I call those things that aren't as though they already were". God is able to look beyond today, and see our tomorrows! He looks beyond our faults because He lives in us, He's for us, and He loves us.

Thank you for another uplifting and edifing post.
Bless you, brother. :)

Thank you. When you see the One I love, tell Him that I do so love Him and need Him each day, each moment, and say that you've been sent to Him with a whisper that His sparrow is still looking and seeking the promise given in the vision so many years ago. Go with God and with my thanks.

yes, but how is it that most in church these days really don't know the word?yet claim im saved without being able to even defend the basics of the gospel? I mean I can stump a lot of people with simple things that I have learned from here and before.

most Christians haven't read the bible. he is YOUR savior and you don't want to know him? yes we all get lazy. but man's its scary what I have seen and heard in my time with Christ. I had to ask the hard questions because the jw do spend time through the bible.

Sparrowhawke:

Great sentiment. Blessings.

Comes with the territory sometimes.
If you do not know, most beautiful of women, follow the tracks of the sheep and graze your young goats by the tents of the shepherds.

At least we are not asked to herd cats...
