Hi

Thanks, I try to be concise and understandable in my reasoning and responses. However, I too, miss the 'edit' button on this board. LOL!
You
can't get covid if you get the shot?
I don't know that any medical professional ever made such a claim. I don't remember anyone saying that you wouldn't get covid with the vaccine. I mean, let's be realistic here, we're talking about an airborne viral menace and there's no way that some shot you get in your arm is going to keep the virus from being inhaled if you walk into a cloud of someone else's spittle that is carrying the virus.
So you have always been subject to 'catching' the covid virus and I'd be interested, if you could fine it, who it was that you're reporting said that if you get the shot you won't get covid.
All the shot did was get your body prepared by developing resistance to the virus so that when/if one were to breathe in the virus and it begin to attack their body, the resistance would be armed and ready so that you wouldn't die from the infection.
You know, people get flu shots every year. Do you believe that means that no one who gets the shot ever gets the flu? You might want to check the medical statistics on that idea. All a vaccine can do is prepare your body for an attack from whatever biological threat it is designed to fight against. So, and I'm pretty sure this has always been what medical professionals have said, getting the vaccine has never been touted as a 'no virus' initiative.
However, I do remember that there was one person who made some pretty outrageous claims that many of that person's followers believed. One was the claim that it would be gone in just a few weeks or months...wrong! One was to express the idea that maybe we could inject ourselves with some simple home cleaning products to kill it immediately...wrong! One was that the warm weather of summer would bring about it's end...wrong! Anyone who listened to that person's prognosis, probably feels that their government is always lying to them, because that person in government usually was.
Anyway, if you've got a minute, could you copy and paste any link to such a proclamation that the vaccine injection meant that people wouldn't get covid.
BTW, here's what Dr. Fauci said about the vaccine early on:
A highly edited video shared on Instagram misrepresents comments made by Dr. Anthony Fauci, the United States’ top infectious disease expert, on why individuals with the COVID-19 vaccine should still wear masks in public until the country achieves herd immunity. Fauci explains that it is not yet clear how effective the current vaccines are at curbing the spread of the virus from an immunized person to others. In other words, a vaccine will prevent the recipient from getting sick, but that person may still carry the virus and expose those who have not received the vaccine.
Here's an early interview on the subject by Dr. Fauci:
In the interview, Fauci answers Cuomo’s question of “Why do I have to keep wearing the mask after I get the vaccine?” by stating that those who are vaccinated “could be prevented from getting clinical disease,” but may “still have the virus that is in your nasopharynx because you could get infected.”
After Fauci says, “We’re not sure, at this point, that the vaccine protects you against getting infected,” the edited Instagram clip plays a record scratch sound effect and a voiceover asks in disbelief, “We’re not sure? At this point? That the vaccine protects you against getting infected?”
Pretty clearly explained that they didn't have any research to make any definite determination of whether or not the vaccine would prevent anyone from getting the disease.
But look, I'm a reasonable person and I don't live in fear that my government or the medical practitioners are 'out to get me'. If respected and well trained and learned medical practioners tell me that my best chance to fight off a plague that was killing thousands of people every day is to get a shot...Hey!! I'm there buddy.
God bless,
Ted
