stuff about Jezebel

Yes they are. Let's be honest men are base and women are not.

Women don't fully understand how a mans mind works and certainly a man doesn't understand how a woman's mind works.

Men are stimulated by the physical and women by the emotional.

I do think though that it is harder for you females because men just see the physical. When they do emotional goes out the window.

To be honest this side of eternity I don't think it will change.

What I do think though is that when us men stand before God and we say "it was her fault" that is not gonna cut it.

I'm responsible for my actions, regardless. Yes every time a pretty girl walks past me and I look at her and think wow and allow lust to take over that is my weakness and my fault (please note I'm not saying I do that all the time)

I do however think that women have realise as well that us males are attracted by the physical appearance.

As I said maybe this side of eternity it won't change unless of course we all walk around in bin bags that covers our bodies with just a couple of holes for the eyes and one for the mouth, to see and breath
You don't do that all the time, huh?
You mean you let some of them get by?
LOL

Wondering

The last place people look is themselves. They never question and ask themselves what is inspiring themselves.

Jezebel kind of intrigues me. I mean, I get that she was wicked, in a pagan, power-hungry female kinda way, but still...Scripture doesn't say a whole lot about her, yet there's kind of a mystique built up around her.

I haven't see this film, but I vaguely remember reading about it in some book on old Hollywood.

see what I mean? All kindsa stuff built up around a relatively minor person in Scripture.

Many people like to dramatise things. There is not much scripture on many things that have become some big magically deluded fairyland storys. I mean, im sure many people have seen the devil that red man with horns, a tail, and holds a pitch folk. What a joke. More like the devil is handsome, wears a nice suit, and comes as a angel of light.

It should be switched the devil and Jesus in those classic false pictures.

Yes they are. The scriptures tells it like it is. Lays bear the sinfulness of men and women. Godly men and women and ungodly men and women.

Let's be honest and it is base but it's true. Us men think of the physical, a bit of nookie and women are emotional when it comes to that side of thing.

Mens heads are turned by a pretty lady.

Throughout time ungodly women have sought to entrap men and the men have succumbed.
Throughout time ungodly men have sought to bed a woman.

Today having sex is the norm, you don't need to be married. Just look at the adverts on T.V.
Particularly for perfumes/aftershave.
Scantily clad ladies, men with Adonis bodies. Half naked.

Sad as it is that is what the world is promoting. Buy this product, if you do you will smell nice and oh by the way you will have sex.

Now I like to smell nice, I do buy expensive aftershave. I buy the aftershave my wife likes.

Also as sad as it Godly men and women can fall foul of seeking the adoration of someone outside their marriage.
If they do they could cite reasons.

Thruth is there is no reason.

As Christian men we are called to love our wives as Christ loves the church. No ifs or buts.
If we find ourselves in a situation where we could be comprised then we must be Godly and say NO.

I would also like to say Christian women do not seek to affection from men outside of your marriage.
Men I say the same to you.

When we stand before God we will not have an excuse, we are responsible for our actions.

From the genealogy in Matthew 1, that Ruth's story is told in her own story, and the discovery of the empty tomb in Matthew 23:1-8, I don't think women are given a low place in scripture. This is something Christians often have to defend against when non-believers criticize scripture.

Sorry have I given that impression?

Agree Mike see post #29 :biggrin2

Not really the same as saying women play an important role in God's plan of salvation. In a twisted way, maybe. :lol

Not overall, and I know that's not how you feel. Just that one line was something I wanted to put in perspective. In this discussion my point had not been made (due respect to reba), and it needed to be made. Scripture gets a bad rap from critics. :neutral Not saying you're one of them. :)
