The age of accountability

Sure I will read various writings from theologians but trust is a whole different thing . John had something to say about the Holy Spirit .

John 16:13 Context

10Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. 12I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 16A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
I understand this.

However most Christians take it out of context and "spiritualize" it.

I do not believe Holy Spirit speaks to us outside His written word.

The filling and leading of Holy Spirit is letting ther word richly dwell in us to live by.

But that is a whole different topic.

Grace and peace to you.

His written word is alive and active as it's being fulfilled in reality, not just ink on paper in an ancient book. The one and only unforgivable sin is blaspheming against the Holy Spirit, which, in that specific context, means denying the POWER of the Holy Spirit. We're called to discern the time and season, which is not "spiritualizing" things, but recoginizing the hand of God in our daily lives, in global events, and seeing them from the perspective of God's word, instead of sequestering ourselves in an information bubble.

You sure?
Leviticus 5:17 "If a person sins, and commits any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD, though he does not know it, yet he is guilty and shall bear his iniquity.

But in the next passage he can be atoned for by bringing a ram to the priest.
I am sure. The "he does not know it" is not in reference to not knowing what the law says and sinning, but rather not knowing that one has sinned. It's a matter of unintentionally sinning vs. intentionally sinning.

Romans 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law

I believe the first part "without law" are all those people who didn't have the law like the Jews did - through prophets or written.

This is from Robertson's Word Pictures
This is a very important statement. The heathen who sin are lost, because they do not keep the law which they have, not because they do not have the Mosaic law or Christianity.

Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse

I would guess they are mostly guilty of idolatry. They all had false gods. That is where all the false religions come from.
I agree that Romans 2:12-14 is talking about people who have never heard about the law of Moses. The law they will be judged by is the law of nature and the law of conscience through which the will of God may be written on their heart. They have a more limited knowledge of the will of God. Their accountability to the will of God is less than one who knows more, and so their judgment is mitigated. We're only accountable for the amount of seed/talents that we've been given.

Luke 12:47-48
47That servant who knows his master’s will but does not get ready or follow his instructions will be beaten with many blows. 48But the one who unknowingly does things worthy of punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and from him who has been entrusted with much, even more will be demanded.

Not certain what that has to do with my comment.
