Actually JLB, The 2nd person of the Trinity doesn't have a name either.
I really don’t use the word Trinity, since it’s not a biblical word.
Godhead is.

Actually JLB, The 2nd person of the Trinity doesn't have a name either.
He was NOT called Jesus before 2,000 years ago and yet He always existed.
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
These are not names, but titles just like the English word Jesus.
Jesus was known as the WORD before He was born.Who said so?
JLB
Jesus was known as the WORD before He was born.
I hope you're not talking about Immanuel...God with us.
Do YOU think the Word had a name BEFORE the Word was born?
The name that everyone baptised in, in the Bible is the name of Jesus.
JLB
you find the testimony of the Father, the Word, and the Spirit in agreement with that of the Water and the Blood, then the Two shall become one Flesh.
I'm good with the Father, the Word and the Spirit......
what do you mean by:
"in agreement with that of the Water and the Blood, then the TWO shall become ONE FLESH."
In the name of Jesus for the remission of sin, but in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit for full empowerment that comes by God as His Spirit (Holy Spirit) indwells us. One baptism for remission of sin and another for the baptism of the Holy Spirit as all being the Godhead within us.
I agree FHG,,,Yes, He was and still is the word. No, I'm not talking about Jesus being called Immanuel as what I'm talking about is not a name as a name is only a title like the English name Jesus, but knowing Him for who He said He is as in "I Am" or "Alpha and Omega".
The Hebrew alphabet has no vowels nor do they use capital letters so the Hebrew spelling would be yhwh for God. It was around the 8th century that the Masoretes added vowels to the Hebrew alphabet and that is where we get Yeshua and the English Jesus. This is why you see G-D written at certain times in articles as the translators try to respect the original Hebrew.
The English word Lord is used in the OT to denote God, Genesis 18:12 as an example, but also used in the NT to denote Jesus as Lord, which refers to someone who is of a higher rank like God. This is why Jesus called himself "I Am" and "Alpha and Omega" as being co-equal to God as being the very essence of God's nature. Same also applies to the Holy Spirit or the Spirit of God.
All the names you find in the Bible for God and Jesus are not their actual names like our parents naming us, but man's word which represents the nature or the essence that is God like that of Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS (yhwh in Hebrew): for he shall save his people from their sins. The essence and nature of His name is that of God's plan of salvation before the foundation of the world no matter how many different names are used in the English translations they are all co-equal with God's Spirit.
Hi EZ,Thanks, I'm on the road traveling, so got to keep it short.
You also have been born of water and of blood. When your spirit and water and blood agree in one in the flesh with the Father and The Word and the Spirit from the kingdom of heaven within your heart, then You TWO shall become one flesh. A Marriage......
Know ye not that the Word is in You, and that it is in thy mouth and upon lips that thou may do it?
Jesus is an English translation for Yeshua...so I'm waiting for his reply....
Jesus and Joshua are the exact same name-tag in Hebrew. But the spellings are different in English because it was thought that people would become confused between the same name of the two individuals. What language is the word Yeshua?
The closest Name in the Hebrew word be for Joshua, which in Hebrew has the same meaning as Jesus does in the Greek.
This can also be identified from a passage in Hebrews.
For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. Hebrews 4:8 NKJV
For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. Hebrews 4:8
I challenge you to come up with the name Joshua in Hebrew and what it means and what Jesus means, and why the scholars of one version of the Bible rendered the name Jesus in the KJV, while the scholars of the NKJV, rendered it Joshua.
JLB
When we are baptized with the Holy Spirit, then it is Jesus Himself, Who is the Baptizer.
When we are baptized in water by a person, then it is done in Jesus name.
When we believe the Gospel, the Holy Spirit is the One who baptizes us not Christ.

Meaning & History
From the Hebrew name יְהוֹשֻׁעַ (Yehoshu'a) meaning "YAHWEH is salvation", from the roots יְהוֹ (yeho) referring to the Hebrew God and יָשַׁע (yasha') meaning "to save". As told in the Old Testament, Joshua was a companion of Moses. He went up Mount Sinai with Moses when he received the Ten Commandments from God, and later he was one of the twelve spies sent into Canaan. After Moses died Joshua succeeded him as leader of the Israelites and he led the conquest of Canaan. His original name was Hoshea.
The name Jesus comes from a Greek translation of the Aramaic short form יֵשׁוּעַ (Yeshu'a), which was the real name of Jesus. As an English name, Joshua has been in use since the Protestant Reformation.

What Is Jesus' Real Name?
Indeed, Yeshua is the Hebrew name for Jesus. It means "Yahweh [the Lord] is Salvation." The English spelling of Yeshua is “Joshua.” However, when translated from Hebrew into Greek, in which the New Testament was written, the name Yeshua becomes Iēsous. The English spelling for Iēsous is “Jesus.”
This means Joshua and Jesus are the same names. One name is translated from Hebrew into English, the other from Greek into English. It is also interesting to note that the names "Joshua" and "Isaiah" are essentially the same names as Yeshua in Hebrew. They mean "savior" and "the salvation of the Lord."
