There is a sinless part of a believer, absolute in holiness.
This is why Paul wrote that if we will walk in the spirit, we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. There is only one way to attain true biblcal holiness? Not by power, nor might, nor efforts of man. But to walk in the truth of what we already have been given.
this i agree with it can be done ..here is my point will we 24/7 year round???? i realize you will not answer this next question... do you have full control of the flesh at all times? this is not about admitting to committing sin. but rather the fact we are only human {note this is not a excuse to reason to get in the flesh or sin} my point as human beings the need for Christ in our walk
2 Corinthians 4 NASB
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;8 we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing;9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;10 always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11 For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So death works in us, but life in you.

Treasure in Clay Jars--HCSB
7 Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power n may be from God and not from us. 8 We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair; 9 we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed. 10 We always carry the death of Jesus o in our body, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who live are always given over to death p because of Jesus, so that Jesus’ life may also be revealed in our mortal flesh. 12 So death works in us, but life in you.
WE ARE NOT POWERLESS TO LIVE IN VICTORY but fact remains it is possible ..{ i am not interested in a post saying your right...EZRA ) i simply am making a point

i john 2 shows both sides of the coin Chapter 2
1 My little children, I am writing you these things so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an •advocate a with the Father—Jesus Christ the Righteous One. 2 He Himself is the •propitiation b for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world.c
God’s Commands
3 This is how we are sure d that we have come to know Him: by keeping His commands.e 4 The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” yet doesn't keep His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word,f truly in him the love of God is perfected.g This is how we know we are in Him:h 6 The one who says he remains in Him i should •walk just as He walked.
7 Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command j but an old command that you have had from the beginning. The old command is the message k you have heard. 8 Yet I am writing you a new command, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away l and the true light m is already shining.n
9 The one who says he is in the light but hates his brother o is in the darkness until now. 10 The one who loves his brother p remains in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.q 11 But the one who hates his brother r is in the darkness, walks in the darkness,s and doesn't know where he’s going,t because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
Reasons for Writing
12 I am writing to you, little children,
because your sins have been forgiven
because of Jesus’ name.u
13 I am writing to you, fathers,
because you have come to know
the One who is from the beginning.v
I am writing to you, young men,
because you have had victory over the evil one.w
14 I have written to you, children,
because you have come to know the Father.
I have written to you, fathers,
because you have come to know
the One who is from the beginning.
I have written to you, young men,
because you are strong,
God’s wordx remains in you,
and you have had victory over the evil one.
A Warning about the World
15 Do not love the •world y or the things that belong to z the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. 16 For everything that belongs to a the world—the lust of the flesh,b the lust of the eyes,c and the prided in one’s lifestyle—is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 And the world with its lust is passing away,e but the one who does God’s will f remains forever.g
The Last Hour
18 Children, it is the last hour.h And as you have heard, “Antichristi is coming,” even now many antichrists have come. We know from this that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us.
20 But you have an anointing j from the Holy One,k and all of you have knowledge.l 21 I have not written to you because you don’t know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie comes from the truth. 22 Who is the liar, if not the one who denies that Jesus is the •Messiah?m This one is the antichrist: the one who denies the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son can have the Father;n he who confesses the Son has the Father as well.o
Remaining with God
24 What you have heard from the beginning must remain in you. If what you have heard from the beginning remains in you, then you will remain in the Sonp and in the Father.q 25 And this is the promise that He Himself made to us: eternal life.r 26 I have written these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you.
27 The anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you don’t need anyone to teach you. Instead, His anointing teaches you about all thingss and is true and is not a lie; just as He has taught you, remain in Him.t
God’s Children
28 So now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears u we may have boldness and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.v 29 If you know that He is righteous, you know this as well: Everyone who does what is right w has been born of Him.x

certainly a true born again child of God will not purposely set out to sin or live in the flesh.. but i do know folks who profess to have Christ that partake in some of the fleshly appetites.. one can say they never was saved and to some degree i would agree.. but we are not the Judge of any ones salvation . i fully understand how to walk in victory . we have to be on guard to not let the flesh lead us instead of the Spirit ,, we make the choice through the Holy Spirit..

I find this teaching to be helpful in understanding how we can be righteous in Christ and yet have to deal with the flesh.
Thanks Deb, its all there in scripture and we have it in our hearts and in places in our mind but when we see how these truths all work together we get that rejoicing of the heart! "for when the eye sees, the heart rejoices" I know there have been days that I just wanted to dance all day long at the joy of how great a salvation we have!

Grace upon grace, God will not build upon the efforts of man.
It seems we sometimes seem to have grace working in one part of lives and struggle in other areas? Paul told us to abound in "all grace" and he mentioned the grace of sowing and reaping in financial things as "this grace also" so grace works in many ways, but grace is never laid upon mans efforts or worries. Grace is laid upon grace. To him who has more will be given!

TO HIM WHO HAS MORE WILL BE GIVEN, TO HIM WHO HAS NOT, EVEN THAT WHICH HE HAS WILL BE TAKEN WAY.

These is a most important understanding if one would walk in the New Man. We have been given Gods Righteousness and endless grace. Only when we know we have these things, can God build upon them, greater levels of grace and knowledge.

Eph 4:24 And that you would put on the New Man, which after God, is created in righteousness and true holiness.

This is that which John wrote? In Him we have no sin, and cannot sin.

The understanding of the "New Creation" 2 Cor 5:17 or the "New Man" as Paul uses it in Eph 4:24, is the foundational knowledge upon which all the blessings of heaven are laid upon. Because it is this "spiritual" man that inherits the Kingdom of God, thus we have Paul telling those who walk in the flesh, that they cannot by the flesh inherit the Kingdom.
It is to this New Man "spiritual" creation, that all the promises of God are made. Because this New Man is born from Christ and is always in Christ. For the New Man all the promises of God are yes and amen. Now the "new man" was not born by the will of man, but the will of God and he is a creation of Gods righteousness and holiness. These are the legal foundations upon which the blessings of Gods abounding grace are laid. Because of who we are in spirit we can expect and claim every promise of God. "to him who has more will be given" This legal foundation of Gods righteousness and holiness is that which the Kingdom of God is laid upon. We are in spirit in perfect fellowship and union with Christ. "as He is so are we in this world"
So understand the reason Paul continues to push believers to walk in the spirit, is so that Gods grace might be upon them.
True grace is not a doctrine it is a Spirit "the Spirit of Grace"
When one has seen its working, they have seen the Arm of The Lord, the power of their own flesh to bring them into bondage is seen and understood but it is not feared because Gods victory has overcome it.

Now those who have ears to hear? The law of faith works according to this principle? TO HIM WHO HAS, MORE WILL BE GIVEN
only when one stops trying to earn by the flesh and mans efforts, and comes into faith of what was given freely at the new birth, can more be laid upon that truth. grace upon grace! Faith upon faith, glory to glory!

I believe you are right about this. I see it as being sanctified as we learn to turn ALL things over to Him. If we do not turn those things over to Him we do not allow for grace to work there. John prayed "I pray that you may prosper even as your soul propers."

2 Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. 3For I was very glad when brethren came and testified to your truth, that is, how you are walking in truth.

John was praying for Gaius who was an elder of the church.

I must be honest Deb, I felt the Lord wanted me to express this very truth to you. Maybe He wants you to open more areas of your life to the working of His Grace? All things are yours and you are righteous in Him!
Is it not Gods right to bless the righteous? and to warn the self-righteous? Let the warnings of scripture be upon those who they where intended. Let the blessings be upon His "little ones" who have no confidence in man or mans ability.

This my brother is the Truth, thank you for stating it so clearly. Can we therefore say that to walk in the flesh is contrary to who we Really are in Christ, the new creation? As I read your post it came to me the teachings of shaking the dust from your feet and the washing of the dust from each others feet.

Oh wow! that is such truth! Yes today I have washed your feet and you have also washed mine!

It is the goodness of God that leads to repentance. Consider the problem that God had with man? Man had become a judge of good and evil through the tree of knowledge. The Cross of our beloved Lord is like a marker in the ground, saying if the Most Holy and Most righteous would die for the sinner, who can judge what is good and evil, but God? This is why the Cross has been made the entrance to the Kingdom. Because here we must all become as fools and admit the starndard of Gods righteousness is not in our ability. He became sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. The bronze serpent represented that "sin in the flesh" was judged in His Body. Bronze represents the judgment of God and the serpent represents the lie of sin that was from Adam.
Now in the heart and mind of a believer, they should see that this "sin in the flesh" has been judged already in Him. This is why Paul says There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.
Read Rom 8:3 and you will see that sin in the flesh was condemned in His Flesh.
So we should see that the "old man" was crucified with Christ.
That the New Man might not be made subject to the flesh.

Now when one reckons as truth that the flesh can not justify nor condemn the believer who has been set free from its desires, and will start to see themselves as the new man.

Remember that God always works at the heart level, when the hypocricy of our own flesh is taken out of the way, we begin to love others apart from the judgment of our own flesh judging others flesh. We begin to understand the new and higher laws of God. Love and faith become that which rules us. We see that the strife of trying to be or make something of ourselves has been replaced with that which God has promised us. We become partakers of the divine nature, because we no longer strive in the flesh, but live our lives based upon what God gives us freely.

We become partakers of the divine nature, because we no longer strive in the flesh, but live our lives based upon what God gives us freely.

We see and know God through faith. The law is not of faith?
The the purpose of the law, was to make all men see the sin that is in the flesh of all men. Through the law this sin becomes exceeding sinful. Now if one is under the law, the law will always hold them in bondage to sin, because sin is in the flesh.
So what the law will do is always remind them of their flesh and hold them in bondage to the lust and desires of the flesh.
Even to deceive them unto hypocricy, wherein they fail to see their own sin and look to see sin in others flesh. Also one should know that the flesh is always in rebellion against God and His ways? So the law will actually produce a desire in the flesh to break the commandment (see Rom 7:7) Now the flesh is a veil that seperates us from knowing God in spirit. When the law is laid upon this veil, it blinds us from seeing God by faith and spirit.
Under law the believer becomes blind because all that they can see is themselves. The flesh is always sinful and will always be condemned by the law. We cannot see God when we are focused upon ourselves. We see God when our conscience is clean and we have no sin conscience. This is that which the book of Hebrews speaks.
Now if one does not understand that we are a new man inside the old man "body of sin" they will not be able to walk in the spirit as they should. Also this is VERY IMPORTANT , our hope cannot be that one day we will fix our flesh and then we can walk in the spirit, No! we commit our way to the spirit and trust that as we walk in the spirit we will in fact overcome the flesh by that which is greater.
As one of my favorite teachers said; we do not try to shovel out the darkness, we bring in the light and the light will force out the darkness.
At some point the New Man will gain the victory over the old. Here is our victory? our faith and the law and self-effort with religious works are not of faith.
