The Yankees are two games out of phirst place, while the Phillies are 1.5 games out of phirst, but the BIG news is:

(sniff) The Philadelphia Phlyers have lost the Stanley Cup championship in hockey.
 
The phumbling Phillies phinally managed to win a game, and are now 3.5 games out of phirst place.
 
The Yankees and the Phillies begin a three game series against each other Tuesday Night. I hope your boys are ready to start scoring runs. :)

Yankees are tied for First in AL East (40-23)
Philies are in sole possesion of Third in the NL East (32-29)

If the Yankees and Phillies were in the same division, the Yankees would have a 7 game lead over the Phillies.
 
Nooooo!!!!!!!! The Yankees beat the phumbling Phillies 8-3 today.
 
There are worse things in the world Vince... Like the Yankees Losing to the Phillies. btw The Bombers of the Bronx have won 7-thier last 8 games. :)

Yes, the phabulous Phillies managed to beat the Yaankees two games out of three. The Phillies are still 3 1/2 games out of phirst place. But the BIG news in sports is:

Mexico beat France 2-0 yesterday in the World Cup competition in soccer. We were in a supermarket when the employees starting blowing on horns and marching around the aisles, while the customers cheered.
 
Last night, the Phillies were leading the Twins by five points in the ninth inning...












...and lost.
 
The Yanks have returned to their winning ways, taking two in a row against the Mets. Go Yanks! Oh... and we're in first. :)

The US lost to Ghana 2-1 in the World Cup. sniff It's sudden death elimination, so it's bye-bye to the US.

Spain beat the Netherlands for the World Cup championship in soccer yesterday. Here in Mexico, the people were rooting for Spain, as it is the home of their ancestors.

I just found out the Phillies have a player who is about 47 years old. It’s hard to pull against a team like that.
