no you read into it what you saw... back and forth my doctrine is better.. i simply posted the basics..... in which we often forget " The Power of the Cross is to crucifiy the natural mind, so that the life of the spirit within can be released by a "renewed" mind." that is another basic of the cross Our Cross . the Cross of Christ is payment for our sins.... i have told you many times i am not religious . we are either a sinner that has been saved by Grace.. or a sinner that needs saved by the Grace of God.. there is your basics when paul wrote seek ye 1st the kingdom of God and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS and all these things will be added . what things Holiness sanctified --SET APART we are made Holy at the moment of conversion ..the next step we are to Grow in the Grace and Knowledge of the Lord. changed from Glory to Glory we are a W.I.P the growth never stops. the last step when we go home to be with Jesus... our last step is finished a full complete vessel of honor no longer in need of repair. and yes walking in the resurrection life. is what we have to do down here on earth.. so often if not careful we walk alone And there is where we are in need of the savior. i rest my case...:amen

Yeah, back to basics - like the doctrine of BLACKMAIL - believe in Jesus, or BURN IN HELL FOREVER! The basics, like the doctrine of God bringing people into this world, without their consent, only to see if they would be smart enough and strong enough to avoid being fried like a piece of bacon over a spit for eternity.

Jesus told us that the blasphemous religious system of the world would threaten us with this very thing - word for word:

Revelation 13:15 ".......THE IMAGE of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed."

This is exactly what Orthodox Christendom does, is it not? Believe in "the IMAGE" of OUR GOD, or you will be killed - burned at the stake - or will burn in hell for eternity!

For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

The Cross of the Lord Jesus Christ, has true spiritual power, it is a place of death for the "natural" mind. It is the place of victory for the "spiritual" mind.
For those who have reckoned at its purpose, it has become the power over satan and his kingdom.

Col 2:14

Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Col 2:15

And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Maybe others can attest to its work in their lives?

At the Cross of Christ we die to the law, to our attempts to justify ourselves and the laws ability to condemn us.

We die to the principle of self and self-life, which is in the flesh. For the flesh lives by the lie that one can be something of themselves. But when we by faith accept that we have died with Christ to this world and and to who we are in the world. We who have the Spirit begin to live in the Spirit.

The Cross is foolishness to the natural mind, for it declares that all that man is in the adamic condition,is rejected by God. Here we pass from death into life in the spirit.

For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.

So at the Cross we enter into higher laws. Spiritual law! Laws of life, faith and love.

The scriptures do not speak these things in vain!
For when we all are judged, the Cross will be that which jugdes us all.

The "new age" will deny the need for His Cross.
The legalist will deny that He did all that was needed.

The church was defiled when it accepted that which satan had offered to the Lord? Power over the kingdoms of the earth. Religious power or temple power is of satan. Men who seek power and are unwilling to go to the Cross of Christ and die to the self-willed flesh. The flesh will put on religious robes as well as the pharisee did and will work against the true will of God.

The Cross declares that the power of God , belongs to no man and works according to no mans will. True power is for those who die with Christ and have crucified the flesh.

Like Paul, I am determined to know nothing among you but Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

With all the deception and false spirits, false prophets etc..
In the world today, and these things will only grow worse as the end draws near!

God has given us sure ways to know that we are standing with Him? Faith in Christ and the righteousness of faith. The witness of the Holy Spirit. The love of God shed abroad in our hearts is the confidence that every believer should have.

But very few seem to understand what it means to be crucified with Christ? To see His death as our own and to have the power of that death work in us. I tell you that until your mind has been to "the place of the skulls" you are subject to deception. For more and more deceiving spirits are coming and many will be led away.

The scriptures that relate to "being crucified with Christ" are not written in vain! I tell you as a brother in the Lord, go to the Cross and you will be safe. If you will not go? you will be deceived in the times that are coming.

I have been considering this AM, that God called us "sons" at this time in history. He knew us before the foundations of the world, in our mothers womb. We cannot live by what was known or not known. He has given us all we need to overcome. Just as the elders of Israel had to pass away before an entrance into the promised land could be made. I say cast off tradition, test every doctrine that has come to us. Hold and honor that which is proven, cast away all bondage. Live without fear or bitterness, we have but this one life to offer to our Father. A crucified man is not concerned with the opinions of man or mans tradition. He lives for the Fathers will alone.

Edward, this is a wonderful post it edifies the church, uplifts us up, gives us strength, and reminds us of who we are in Him and His mercy and grace towards us. You glorify the Lord.
