Glad I wasn't around back then. XDIn Victorian times, people would keep their curls in lockets...
But then women would also wear long floppy dresses, etc......
Blessings.

One of my grandparents kept some clippings of my aunt's and mom's hair. I understand keeping a lock of a loved one's hair is done and why.
But I don't see why I'd keep a lock of my own hair. I get compliments about my hair all the time (mainly because it's naturally curly/wavy), but I'm not THAT attached to it.
Yeah. They're more comfortable, IMO. I don't wear dresses except for when formal occasions call for it.You are a pants woman, of course, right?
Blessings.

Hair was use as art medium then.... I have a lock of my mothers hair... it is about 87 years old

I actually kind of like skirts just a teeny tiny bit. Just seems more appealing than a dress, somehow. Maybe because I could still wear whatever shirt I want to or something.questdriven:
Actually I think these days, for women who really appreciate the comfort and confidence that pants give, it's hardly necessary to wear a skirt on even formal occasions any more. If you eventually get yourself a smart pantsuit, for example, that a professional woman would wear with heels to an interview, you might even be able to say bye-bye to skirts completely. (Does this sound good?)
Blessings.

But I don't think they'd look good on me. :p Which is kinda too bad, one of the characters I want to cosplay wears a skirt. So I'd probably have to do something other than her main outfit. (And, her skirt IS a little too short for my comfort anyway.)
In any case, I still normally prefer pants over anything else.
So I got to play Rockband 3 with some friends last night after evening service at church--why haven't I ever looked into getting this game before?? DO WANT!
It even has a few songs by Christian bands like Thousand Foot Crutch, Kutless, and Skillet. Oh, and DC Talk's 'Jesus Freak'!
It's a secular game where you 'play' different songs with various instruments that come with the game. Guitars, drums, or you can trying singing. You don't use real instruments, but ones designed for the game that are similar to the real instruments.Does it play Christian hard rock in the background?
Blessings.

While it's a secular game, it includes a few songs from Christian bands. Mostly the ones who also appear on the secular scene, like Skillet.
Tonight having some beef soup. My pets had a similar meal, since they got to eat some of the stew beef (but raw) from the same same package.
It'll be a while til I get to another cosplay...
I want to attend AWA (short for Anime Weekend Atlanta, if I recall) in September. Maybe once I found out whether I'll be able to go or not I can plan to start buying costume parts for another cosplay.
