Is it stated that way in the bible?
The way the OP was worded actually denied the accomplishments of Jesus' death and resurrection.
ie...freeing us from sin and of the flesh.
From that perspective, I can't agree with the OP.
Jesus made it possible to be righteous, here and now, so a post casting the concept of that freedom into doubt begs for clarification.
Don't you think so too?

Reread what humble wrote in the first post. He wrote about pride in self and leaving God out and you think that is a wrong discriptions of a sinner.
 
Work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

I get the imputed righteousness of Christ, but I also think...maybe each person's salvation is a lifelong struggle.
Amen to that.
We are given a great gift, but it is up to us to retain it.
Thieves, liars, and adulterers are not going to find their names written in the book of life.

It's a fine description of a sinner, but those in Christ are no longer sinning after their true repentance from sin.
Their righteousness is of Christ, and can be manifested wherever they walk.
The pride of ex-sinners is of God and His graceful power in their lives.
So my difference from the OP is in what we have pride in: self or God.

judging isa fine line we are not judge another Christian walk or salvation.. often times we are judged of ourselves/actions

If we don't judge those around us, we may be found among them at the time of judgement.
We are told not to mix with those who hate God. (2 Cor 6:17)

I'm proud of myself having a righteous God in me.
No I'm proud of God who is righteous being in me.
No. I'm not proud of me but I'm sure proud of God.
NO. I'm proud of both God and me being pretty darn righteous.
Ah...just call me Humble Soul.
 
You can't judge a murder or a theft.
They just "are".
It is those who commit such things that will be judged by God, or men, in the interim.
We can judge an action" that is wrong so I should never do the same."

Are we deemed "OK" in the sight of the witnesses?
Judgement is a crucial element in being a Christian.
If we are afraid to "call a spade a spade", we run the real risk of incorporating wickedness into the church.
Not to mention into our personal lives.
Look how many sects have incorporated homo-sexuality, same sex marriage, and divorce into the norms of their "religion".
It is because nobody "judged" the proceedings as wickedness and stood against it.
"Silence is Complicity" I have read on a protest sign lately.
How true.
