2 Corinthians 3:14
But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
In this study we shall take a closer look at the vail that was done away in Christ, how that vail still remains upon the hearts of many even unto this day when it comes to reading the old testament, and in part the new as well, as well as what the vail keeps them blinded from seeing.
There is no room for pride when it comes to thinking that one has eyes to see what is read in the old testament. A humble man would accept that he is blind and ask the Lord to instruct him. After all, we are to walk in Faith. But what is a man who preaches the word, but has not heard the word given to them, or they would know that their master has called them “Blind Guides?”
So before we go further:
Father, I ask the we each take a moment to come before you with a humble and ready heart that we might receive instruction in righteousness according to your Word and by your Holy Spirit, and may it be received with your blessings for those who always seek after you. In Jesus name. Amen.
2 Corinthians 3:12-16
Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
