All you have done is provided a battle cry ("First Fruits Sunday") and provided one verse in many different flavors. I can deal with the one verse because it is in the Bible, but is that all you got? What about the other three gospels and the fact that the only thing we can truly gather is that on Sunday he wasn't in the tomb, but was ALREADY risen?

If this is all you are going on, there are a lot of problems you are going to encounter. The first of which is that even by your theory of a Thursday crucifiction and a Sunday resurrection is not three days and three nights. This makes your theory by that criteria no better than them that believe a Friday crucifixion.

Metthew 28:1 also refers to the first of the sabbaths, that is to the first of the weeks, the first day of the seven weeks, the day of the first fruits.
Matthew is telling us that Jesus did resurrect on Sunday, First Fruit Sunday.

Not only that; Matthew 28:1 is also saying that before or previous to that Sunday it was some sabbaths. Matthew in 28:1 is not clear on how many consecutives days with the condition of sabbath. Obviously one of those sabbaths is Saturday with a previous sabbath on Friday.
Matthew is more specific in 27:62

Matthew present an extrange construction (the day after the previous day) to describe the High Sabbath of Passover that will mention John in his Gospel. Matthew is explaining to his Jew readers that Jesus were crucified on a preparation day and that on the High Sabbath (the day after the preparation day) the chief priest did this and that.
Matthew is discribing two sabbaths, a High Sabbath of Passover (Fri) followed by the weekly sabbath (Sat).

If this is all you are going on, there are a lot of problems you are going to encounter. The first of which is that even by your theory of a Thursday crucifiction and a Sunday resurrection is not three days and three nights. This makes your theory by that criteria no better than them that believe a Friday crucifixion.

Three days and three nights:
Thursday from 3pm to 6pm = one day
Friday from 6pm to 6am = one night
Friday from 6am to 6pm = two days
Saturday from 6pm to 6am = two nights
Saturday from 6am to 6pm = three days
Sunday from 6pm to resurrection = three nights

Total of three days and three nights

This verse says it was "in the end of the sabbath". It did not say the sabbath was past. It says it was in the end. Thus, it was referring to what we would call Saturday between 3 and 6 PM. It also says it began to dawn toward the first day. "Dawn" here is a verb. It does not say it was dawn, but the verb means to draw near. Yes, the literal translation means to grow light, but in this case it is not literal. Why? Because Saturday was not yet past. If I said, "This is the dawn of a new era", you would not say it's morning. If I said, "something just dawned on me", you would not literally think I turned on a light. Yet, it was dawning toward a new day, which in the Hebrew context, meant it was about what we could call Saturday, 6 PM.
In any sense, no matter if it meant 6 PM Saturday or 6 AM Sunday, he was already gone. He didn't rise then, he was already risen. There are many more proofs. There simply is not enough time to get everything in unless it Jesus died on Wednesday and rose sometime between 3 and 6 PM on Saturday.

I once heard a message, preached on Good Friday, as it happened, which went into a lot of detail about why the preacher thought the Lord Jesus wasn't crucified on a Friday. However, I guess I would tend to think more about the fact that He was, in fulfilment of Isaiah 53, etc.

Wendy Goubej is either making a big mistake or is cheating. She count days beginning in sutrise and omit several detail that makes his explanation impossible. Totaly wrong and unaceptable.

Nowhere we read of exactly 72 hours.

It's not three days and three nights. Not even close! If you believe that, then you must abandon the whole support of three days and three nights you would use against those who support a Friday crucifixion. And without that, your theory doesn't hold anymore weight than theirs.

That you even brought up "72 hours" proves to me that you know very well it isn't three days and three nights, but understand it's a small part of one day, and so forth....

I did prove the resurrection on Sunday and the crucifixion on Thursday.

Metthew 28:1 also refers to the first of the sabbaths, that is to the first of the weeks, the first day of the seven weeks, the day of the first fruits.
Matthew is telling us that Jesus did resurrect on Sunday, First Fruit Sunday.

Not only that; Matthew 28:1 is also saying that before or previous to that Sunday it was some sabbaths. Matthew in 28:1 is not clear on how many consecutives days with the condition of sabbath. Obviously one of those sabbaths is Saturday with a previous sabbath on Friday.
Matthew is more specific in 27:62

Matthew present an extrange construction (the day after the previous day) to describe the High Sabbath of Passover that will mention John in his Gospel. Matthew is explaining to his Jew readers that Jesus were crucified on a preparation day and that on the High Sabbath (the day after the preparation day) the chief priest did this and that.
Matthew is discribing two sabbaths, a High Sabbath of Passover (Fri) followed by the weekly sabbath (Sat).

Is it any doubt of two consecutive sabbath days previous to Sunday resurrectio?
