"The Word of Faith"

Heb 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Heb 11:2

For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Heb 11:3

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Faith is believing, that which cannot be seen! Doctrines of man, is seeing that which cannot be believed!:toofunny

Act 10:38

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

"These signs will follow them that believe, they will lay hands on the sick and they shall recover!"
God is waiting on those who dare to believe!:thumbsup

Rom 10:8

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
1Co 2:4

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
1Co 2:5

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

1Co 4:18

Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you.
1Co 4:19

But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power.
1Co 4:20

For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

Mar 16:17

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

I believe all scripture. Wouldn't true believer all scriptures? If they do not believe all the Bible would that mean they are unbelievers or unbelieving believers? :) Well I know many don't believe the Mark 16 verse. But Romans has nothing to do with that.

It seems to me if a person believes Romans 10:8-10 people label them as word of faith. Yet we should all believe Romans 10, right? That doesn't make a person a certain denomination. Its just as much scriptures as any other, why tear it out? I say just believe what the Bible says!

If they don't believe those verses then how would they get saved? Its about salvation. You believe in your heart say with your mouth you believe Jesus died and rose from the dead and make Jesus your Lord. If they don't think He did then how can they be saved any other way? Its only thru His death and resurrection that their sins can be forgiven.

Ok I'll hush, I'm rambling

Your right Rom 10 is regards to our salvation. I hope to make the point in this thread that "saving" faith, is the same as "healing" faith. I think if most believers took the simple "childlike" faith they had at salvation, they could move mountains!:chin

Mat 17:20

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Not trying to condemn any who believe, but not to be afraid to believe "big" :)

Why would a person want to believe small? To believe big and miss it is better than believe small and miss it! :lol

The word Salvation comes from the GK meaning healing, deliverance, saved, well being. I'd say that was in any part of our life. He's not just a God of our spirit but of the whole man, all of us. There is a verse about Him sanctifying us wholey, spirit, soul and body

Keep that attitude :thumbsup

Psa 25:1

A Psalm of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
Psa 25:2

O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Psa 25:3

Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
Psa 25:4

Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
Psa 25:5

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Psa 25:6

Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.:thumbsup

Luk 12:32

Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

When fear is replaced by faith, and His goodness and love for us is trusted. The is Kingdom of God will begin to be seen by the believer!

Luk 13:18

Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
Luk 13:19

It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

Take your "little faith" and plant it in "His Promises" For He is faithful that promised:)

Rom 8:32

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Simple faith "mustard seed" is all one needs to move a mountain!:clap

2Co 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2Co 5:18
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

It is Gods intention to make us a "NEW" creation, with all the old things passed away and all things within us truly of God, to bring in a new, divine order, a perfect love, and an unlimited faith. Will you have it? Redemtion is free. Arise in the activity of faith and God will heal you as you rise:thumbsup

2Co 13:5

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Whatever is not of "faith" is sin!

God desires to bring us into harmony with His Will so that we will line up with the Word of God, to believe it ALL. If there is something within us that has not been sanctified,God wants it to be changed by the power of faith in His Word.

Many people are putting their human wisdom in the place of God, and He is not able to give His best to those who reject His clear Promises:sad

Heb 4:1

Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
Heb 4:2

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

How does one know if they are walking in "real FAITH?

Mat 6:31

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Mat 6:32

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Mat 6:33

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Mat 6:34

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the dayisthe evil thereof.

Rom 14:17

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

This is what "real faith" is! Walking without fear before our God and Father, trusting in Him and His ability to care for us, and keep us by His Grace! Rejoice! in the Lord always!:thumbsup

actually jesus didnt walk by faith. he never doubted. he prayed yes but when god wanted him to move he had and him only has the power to heal and forgive.

remember if we are to speak healings like you just say then we can also condemn and forgive. they go hand in hand. yet peter nor paul did such things.

If we were to walk in perfect faith we wouldn't doubt either.

If we were to walk in perfect faith we wouldn't doubt either.
I believe its possible or He would not have said it was!:thumbsup I also know that as my "flesh" dies and the "spirit man" is allowed to live, that many of these doubts have faded away, and my faith works to a much greater degree! By faith through grace the Spirit overcomes the flesh with all its doubts:thumbsup

Heb 11:24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
Heb 11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Heb 11:26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
Heb 11:27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

True faith overcomes all things! The world can never understand the confidence we have in better things, held for us with our Lord. True faith walks in this world without fear, in boldness and humility we look to our unseen God. Confident He who knew us before the foundations of the world, is able to bring us into His Kingdom where we will receive the rewards of our faith!:biglol

1Pe 1:4

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

1Pe 1:5

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

It seems even the most faithful of Gods Children are tried and tempted? WHY? It is that their very faithfulness and loyalty to the Lord may be made manifest in this world.

1Pe 1:7

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

What a hard lesson to learn that Our Good Father always seeks what is best for us, in the eternal realm!
We may work to have something in this world, and God may grant us many blessings here? His Will for us is an eternal one, when we have surrendered our temporal will, we can rejoice even in the trails of our faith!

Mat 18:19

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 18:20

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

"as touching"? When we walk in faith we walk in the "spirit" This is the place where our faith takes hold of that which we have in Heaven!

Eph 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Open the eyes of your heart, and begin to see that "our victory" That Christ won for us, is all in the "spiritual" realm or the "realm of faith"! We take hold "by faith" that which is in heaven and The Father will manifest it here on the earth!

No man has the "blessing of God" apart from faith. for the blessings are of heaven and not of this world.

"Avoid foolish questions."

-
Tit_3:9

Our days are few, and are far better spent in doing good, than in disputing over matters which are, at best, of minor importance. The old schoolmen did a world of mischief by their incessant discussion of subjects of no practical importance; and our Churches suffer much from petty wars over abstruse points and unimportant questions. After everything has been said that can be said, neither party is any the wiser, and therefore the discussion no more promotes knowledge than love, and it is foolish to sow in so barren a field. Questions upon points wherein Scripture is silent; upon mysteries which belong to God alone; upon prophecies of doubtful interpretation; and upon mere modes of observing human ceremonials, are all foolish, and wise men avoid them. Our business is neither to ask nor answer foolish questions, but to avoid them altogether; and if we observe the apostle’s precept (
Tit_3:8) to be careful to maintain good works, we shall find ourselves far too much occupied with profitable business to take much interest in unworthy, contentious, and needless strivings.

There are, however, some questions which are the reverse of foolish, which we must not avoid, but fairly and honestly meet, such as these: Do I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ? Am I renewed in the spirit of my mind? Am I walking not after the flesh, but after the Spirit? Am I growing in grace? Does my conversation adorn the doctrine of God my Saviour? Am I looking for the coming of the Lord, and watching as a servant should do who expects his master? What more can I do for Jesus? Such enquiries as these urgently demand our attention; and if we have been at all given to cavilling, let us now turn our critical abilities to a service so much more profitable. Let us be peace-makers, and endeavour to lead others both by our precept and example, to "avoid foolish questions."- C. Spurgeon

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Jas 1:7

For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Jas 3:10

Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
Jas 3:11

Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?

Jas 1:8

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Eph 4:22

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
Eph 4:23

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Eph 4:24

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

There is an "old man" and a "new man" in every believer.
For that which is born of the flesh is "flesh"
That which is born of the Spirit is "spirit"

When we who are born of the Word of God, believe and speak according to what that same Word has declared to be true, we speak no longer as mere men, but as Sons of God. This is how, we move mountains!:thumbsup

Those who do not see themselves according to the Word of God, are as those who look into the "Perfect Law of Liberty" as a reflection in a glass, and forget what The Word has said they are, They are double-minded, and speak with little or no FAITH.

2Co 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Without faith it is impossible to please God!

“God’s plan is there shall be none of self and all of Christ. The very people who are doing the most for God in saving souls, in mission work, in the care of orphans, are those who are working on short supplies of strength, of money, of talents, of advantages, and are kept in a position of living by faith and taking from God, day by day both physical and spiritual supplies. This is the way God succeeds and gains conquests over His own people, and over the unbelief of those who look on His providences.†- George Muller

"At last I saw Christ as my Saviour. I believed in Him and gave myself to Him. The burden rolled from off me, and a great love for Christ filled my soul. That was more than fifty years ago. I loved Jesus Christ then, but I loved Him more the year after, and more the year after that, and more every year since" - George Muller

"When I was conversing lately with our dear friend, George Muller, he frequently astonished me with the way in which he mentioned that he had for so many months and years asked for such and such a mercy, and praised the Lord for it, as though he actually obtained it. Even in praying for the conversion of a person, as soon as he had begun to intercede, he began also to praise God for the conversion of that person. I think he told us he had in one instance he had already prayed for thirty years and the work was not yet done, yet all the while he had gone on thanking God, because he knew the prayer would be answered."-C.H. Spurgeon

"If I read the newspaper I come out dirtier than I went in. If I read my Bible, I come out cleaner than I went in, and I like being clean!" He was, as Wesley said, "a man of one book."

"If it is in the Bible, it is so. It's not even to be prayed about. It's to be received and acted upon. Inactivity is a robber which steals blessings. Increase comes by action, by using what we have and know. Your life must be one of going on from faith to faith."

"Some people like to read their Bibles in the Hebrew; some like to read it in the Greek; I like to ready it in the Holy Spirit."

"Great faith is the product of great fights."
-Smith Wigglesworth

"I know that God's word is sufficient. One word from Him can change a nation. His word is from everlasting to everlasting. It is through the entrance of this everlasting Word, this incorruptible seed, that we are born again, and come into this wonderful salvation. Man cannot live by bread alone, but must live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. This is the food of faith. "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."

"Before God could bring me to this place He has broken me a thousand times. I have wept, I have groaned, I have travailed many a night until God broke me. It seems to me that until God has mowed you down you never can have this longsuffering for others. We can never have the gifts of healing and the working of miracles in operation only as we stand in the divine power that God gives us and we stand believing God, and having done all we still stand believing."

"God's word is from everlasting to everlasting. His word cannot fail. God's word is true and when we rest in the fact of its truth what mighty results we can get. Faith never looks in the glass. Faith has a glass into which it can look. It is the glass of the perfect law of liberty. "Whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed." To the man who looks into this perfect law of God all darkness is removed and he sees his completeness in Christ. There is no darkness in faith. There is only darkness in nature. Darkness only exists when the natural is put in the place of the divine."

"God has never changed the order of things that first, there comes the natural, and then the spiritual. For instance, when it is on your heart to pray, you begin in the natural and your second word will probably be under the power of the Spirit. You begin and God will end. It is the same in giving forth utterances under the Spirit's power. You feel the moving of the Spirit within and you begin to speak and the Spirit of God will give forth utterance. Thousands have missed wonderful blessings because they have not had faith to move out and begin in the natural, in faith that the Lord would take them into the realm of the supernatural. When you receive the Holy Ghost you receive God's Gift, in whom are all the gifts of the Spirit." - Smith Wigglesworth
