Thousand year day teachings gaining steam

I think you meant as if it was literal thousand the way it is used the first three times .

I meant it as 1,000 years. As in 998, 999, 1,000. Common years, each one 365+- days. A thousand years, the way we normally understand 1,000. Read verses in context. Sometimes thousand is symbolic, sometimes not. Context determines how to understand it. If it makes sense in normal usage, then that's what is likely meant.

I think some take the easy way out and paint it with an all or nothing brush to save themselves having to discern literal from figurative.

For me. I have to temper my wanting so much to believe the Thousand Year Day teaching with my overwhelming desire for our Lord's return and how this may bias my opinion about it. At any rate time will bear this out as to being true or false. For Pre-Tribbers, if it's true they'll be raptured this year or next. For Post-Tribbers, this will signal the beginning of the Great Tribulation.....one thing for sure. We'll see fairly soon.

From the beginning there was darkness night. .God must of hid himself for 12 hours. I am reminded of Israel leaving Egypt . The cloud of his presence hid the light and left the world (Egypt) in darkness .

There is no night. In the new order it said to be ten times brighter that the first three days.

Jesus like the moon a reflection of the true light the Sun was a reflection of the light of the father. There is no hidden what some call Godhead. God has no form.

God alone is the head. The Son man with no power of his own simply does the will of the father as the father gives him strength. The same he he strengthens us yoked with him today.

That's a nice wordy opinion that tries very hard to make looking at the signs and seasons as sinful or lacking in faith, but that is just your opinion. Jesus Himself said to be watchful......hmmm....should I follow my Lord Christ or should I listen to the "all or nothing" opinion of Mr. G Lee? Guess which I choose.

I asked the Lord one time a few years ago why He is taking so long and why doesn't He just come back now and He replied to my heart "And whom would you have Me leave out of My net I have cast far and wide?" I shuddered at my own arrogance and begged forgiveness then told Him to please return when He is ready. If He returns this year or next...Great! If not, then it is all our job to patiently wait for that glorious Day of the Lord. I will continue watching the signs and seasons nonetheless.

I would suggest. God works by a labor of his creative love called in the bible a "work of faith". . His faithfulness ."Let there be" and "it was God good "He finished all the work in 6 days,. . no dispensations, he works by faith (let there be) in any time period

HE told us to be watchful and I will obey. Since I am a Post-Tribber, I intend to not only watch, but to be a watchman. If I see people trying either intentially/unintentionally keeping Christians asleep/passive about the signs/seasons, I will speak out lest they be caught unawares.
