Mr. Tim I have a brother who is an electrician and a son who is an electronics/electrician. My son teaches maths and electronics at one of our secondary schools. I am familiar with all of this drawing.....seeing my son with this...but stuff is too technical for me.:)

We have a tech forum, although I will admit that got overtaken by computer talk, but I don't see why electrical/electronics subjects can't be talked about there, and even math.

Likewise, we have a science forum, but that usually gets inundated with talk of evolution only, occasionally origin of the earth/universe. That's why one time I posted about my sundial just to change the pace and get a breath of fresh air.

That's just the problem. :crying what is needed is a devoted forum for tech. stuff. Maybe there should be a different one for darwolism and gatism

Well the disadvantages are you open yourself up to some people who wouldn't have the confidence or ability to approach you in real life. I don't know if that's so bad though. The shy guy who would never talk to you in the grocery store might be the most loyal loving partner out there. Those types of guys usually get mistreated by women.

The advantage to you as a woman are you can meet someone outside your social circle. This is just a guess but 95% of the time a woman is approached by a stranger in real life the goal of the guy is sex and he's done it before.

For me I think it makes it more likely to find someone also willing to wait for marriage. I don't really want to date someone at work because that usually isn't smart. Nor do I want to go to church focused on finding Ms. Right. If you pick up a girl at the grocery store then have a plan of not going past second base for possibly years I think you're asking for trouble.

I think the "Grocery store" thing is a total myth. I've never met anyone in a grocery store, not even a friend of either gender. And I don't know anyone that has ever met someone in the store.

I think the store thing is for Mr Gold Chains with a pocket full of coke meets Miss Barbie Bimbo. Then they go some place to "party"

You can meet a woman anywhere. It's not like they get all dressed up and put make-up on for no reason. Whether that woman who is impressed by the bold man in the produce section is expecting you to follow up with a long courtship of no sex and focus on God is another matter.

To tell you the truth, I find it hard to believe in the long courtship with no sex. I've never experienced it, and nobody I know has ever experienced it. And I'm talking both Christians and Non-Christians.

If you don't at least try with most women within the first couple weeks of dating, they start to question whether or not you are impotent or gay.

I'm not saying that I agree with it, it's the state of the world today, and it's a sad situation. I'm just calling it the way I see it.

I agree. Which is why I'm trying to find someone on a niche dating site and get this out in the open because I want to wait now. If you approach a woman without a high self esteem and it's not primarily because you want to have sex with her they can't accept it. It's ugly actually I've seen it and don't want to see it again.

Personally, I admire the fact that there are some men in this world who do not intend to hustle a woman before marriage.

Quite frankly, I decided that any man who 1) tries something on the first date, or 2) comments on the space & size of my home & offers to move in to 'help' with the bills, well, there just wasn't going to be a second or future date.

I prefer respect, which has to be mutual.....and I don't see a celibate dating relationship to be 'odd' in any way. I'm a Christian....I hold my walk to a higher standard because of my faith.

Moving in on the first date wow. I thought I had problems. :lol I'm sure there are some women out there that wouldn't mind waiting. I mean we are supposed to wait and this was an area of sin for me. I actually met a virgin a couple weeks ago but there wasn't a mutual attraction.
