What are you afraid of the most?

Someone spitting in my food.
Oh I have a good story about that.In the town I live in a policeman went to a drive-thru at a Burger King. The policeman thought that their was something just not right and that a couple of the guys working there were acting strange. The policeman took his burger to the police lab to have it analyzed.Yep,their was saliva in his burger. The guy who made his burger spit on it.The guy that worked at Burger King was then arrested.True story it happened a couple of years ago.I have not been able to go to a Burger King since that happened.

Heights. My wife is the resident "light bulb changer" in our house because unless it will somehow save the lives of my children, I refuse to even stand on a chair.

"Have it your way.." Not exactly :)

(Boy, talk about choosing the wrong person to do that too. Who else could have the burger tested and analyzed?)

I do not like heights either.I used to have bad dreams about falling off of a high building. But I would never hit the bottom.

I was wondering if the guy had an issue with police....
That's actually pretty common in big cities where there are lots of low life types that hate the police. There has been many incidents of even grosser things from bodies put on food for cops. People wonder why the cops always hang out at the same few places to eat. It's primarily because those places give them food at a discount or free, but also because they usually know the people there and know they can trust them.

I realize this thread is hopefully comical, but as a serious aside, don't tolerate fear in the least on anything. Refuse to fear. Fear not is not God's favorite expression, but it's said because fear connects you to the Devil and opens the door for him to work in your life the same as faith opens the door for God to work in your life. You'll be connected to one or the other whether wittingly or unwittingly.

Yes,but God also knows that we are human. He excuses us for that.

Hey Kathi, I didn't mean it as a reproach against anyone. But He actually doesn't excuse it, Scripturally He says that whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Fear is the opposite of faith. If He excused it Jesus, God in the flesh, had a perfect opportunity to say to Jairus when Jairus just heard that his daughter was DEAD to say, "Go ahead and fear, it's okay, I can still do the miracle if you fear." NO, He said, "Fear not! Believe only, and she shall be made whole!"

Jesus knew that his daughter coming back to life depended 100% on her father's faith and not wavering or giving over to fear. Fear would stop the miracle. If it didn't Jesus would have been silent and just gone and raised her anyway if it didn't make a difference.

Don't buy the lie that it's okay to be in fear on anything. It's from the devil so he can run your life and block the results you should have that the Father wants to give you.

You may be rolling your eyes, but you'll never find a Scriptural example where God says go ahead and fear. It's always FEAR NOT.
It's like a vending machine that dispenses items for $1. You can sit there all day long and put in 35 cents, 50 cents, 1 cent. Holler, shout, get mad, smash the machine, but you'll never get the item until a dollar goes in - it's not because the vending machine hates you or because you did something wrong, it's that you didn't put the $1 in. Faith without fear is that $1.

You were human, now you're supernatural, a supernatural woman. 2 Cor 5:19-21 says that ALL things in you are new and ALL things are OF GOD. There is no fear in God, therefore there should be no fear in you. That's not to say fear doesn't try to come on you, but you don't have to take it. It certainly came to Jairus, or else Jesus would have been silent. But He told Jairus not to take it. And Jairus didn't. And Jairus had Jesus raise his daughter from the dead. Fear is deadly, it's a miracle-killer. A healing-blocker. A victory-stealer. Don't buy the lie that fear is okay, EVER.

Been there too.
Before knowing Christ.
Might be able to handle it better now but I really don't want to find out.
