What are you afraid of the most?

fear. yeah lets be honest, we all have them. if I pointed a gun and its loaded and we know,we will have fear. that's reality. no one wants to die. does god comfort us in these times. yes but we don't know until we are at the end of a gun what we will do.

I have faced such fears. I didn't always act as I should. I either got cocky, or fearful.

Let's just say the creepiest story I ever read was about a man that had all of his senses surgically removed. (It was a creepypasta.)

I changed it in honor of Claudia. I saw that insect on fb , on the local bridge that is in my town as a post. hmm its a big spider. I see them daily at work. so why not?

Thank you! :clap I was wondering what made you choose a spider as your avatar. It's a beautiful spider. A golden silk spider, right?
Btw, she would probably be very offended you called her an insect. Spiders aren't insects. They eat insects.

:thumbsup Some of the most beautiful and amazing things God created. And the vast majority of them is harmless to humans and bite us only in self-defense, since we are much too big to be considered as edible prey.
But they are very beneficial. The reduce insect pests (I love me a spider web in front of my window during summer), thus they are valuable allies for agriculture.

The only spider that ever really scared me wasn't even real, but a quest target in World of Warcraft. That one was bigger than a friggin' building.

I, too, am afraid of heights. Though probably not as bad as Matthew G. Changing light bulbs isn't a problem. But climbing up somewhere is scary. Unfortunately I like climbing. I wish there was a way you could climb up somewhere and the ground would move with you so you'd never fall further than sprained ankle distance. So whenever I go climbing I always feel like I'm facing death, no matter how many safety ropes I have.
On the oher hand I guess climbing wouldn't be half as interesting without that fear.

Also I'm very social phobic. I'm extremely scared of people. But not the afraid-to-talk-in-front-of-people kind, I actually enjoy that, more the afraid-of-relationship-and-rejection-kind. I have a diagnosis of avoidant personality disorder. Some people with that disorder avoid interacting with people altogether also they hunger for human contact, but they are too scared of it and too certain they will fail at it anyway to even try. I'm a bit better, I can interact with people in a normal way and even establish some friendship, but whenever things get closer and more personal I back off. Thus I have many good acquaintances but no real friends. Although I want friends. I wish it was as easy to face those fears as it is when it comes to climbing.

And I'm afraid of seeing doctors. Don't know why. I've always been a rather healthy individual.

I'm afraid of talking to people sometimes because I don't know what to say and I guess I'm afraid I might accidentally offend them or something...IDK. But I used to be very extroverted as a kid. I'd talk to practically anybody. And I talked a lot.
It's not really a major fear, though. I'm just a little bit shy is all.

we also have the edible horseshoe crabs. related to the spiders and scorpions.i haven't seen a live on the beach in while. they are nasty when mad. I flipped one and wow. its also eerie that they have those human eyes and move them like they do.

Just looked it up, according to wikipedia there are three types of spiders that are refered to as Banana Spider. One of them is the Golden silk orb-weaver, and that's probably the kind on your pic. It seems they are notorious for annoying webs. Wikipedia also cites a medical science publication suggesting that their silk could be used to help human nerve cell regrowth. That's fascinating.
And they are no threat to humans, unless you are allergic to their venom. Otherwise their bite is no worse than a mosquito bite. So there's really no need to kill them. You can coexist with them peacefully.

Do not fear anything except the LORD Almighty. He alone is the Holy One. If you fear him, you need fear nothing else. Isaiah 8:13 NLT

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21 NASB

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24 NASB

Remember when the "hedge" is up the serpent can't strike. Ecclesiastes 10:8

Don't breech security by using FEAR.

Blessings to all.

if im walking in to read a meter I must plow their webs. I don't kill them just because. if its going to bite, im not going to just let it. ants bite and I had about 30 of those on the left hand at present from trying to read a water meter.it also swelled from that and a bee sting. if it bites I will kill it. a dog that tries to bite me, it will be shown by my metal rod not to do that again. I will retreat in that case but it will get swiped.

IDK, I've never met a mosquito that I could co-exist peacefully with after it bit me. And I really LIKE most creatures. :)

Yeah mosquitos come after you. Spiders don't. If you leave a mosquito alone it'll eat you alive. If you leave a spider alone it'll live in a corner of your room and eat the mosquitos.

We get black widows where I live. One was in the mailbox one time.

There's also the little green garden spiders. They're kinda pretty.
