What are you afraid of the most?

You do not want to come in contact with a Brown Recluse.I knew a guy who put his hand in a box of bananas and came in contact with one.It is a miracle that he did not lose his hand.

My uncle's dog got bitten by one and the vet had to surgically remove a good bit of skin from her flank.

Well you have a point there but in my house, any spider is DEAD. Unless my grandson's there and of coarse it must be caught and put outside.
 
Spiders...simple rule. I stay out of your web. You stay out of my house. Ignore the rule and I will get my wife to deal with you. You have been warned you horrible, yet sometimes beautiful (in photo's only) creatures.

I know the poisonous spiders in my state as they are:
brown recluse, black recluse, and the black widow.

Yes,the skin dies around the bite.It all depends on how extensive the surrounding tissue is damaged.If a person does not get medical help right away it can be very serious.
 
I am afraid that God made snakes and spiders so that many are afraid of them.I know why the snake but why the spider?
 
Hornets. Now there's something else a lot of people are afraid of. Not me though. I use them as security guards for some stuff I have away from home where I can't protect it myself. Nobody wants to mess with your stuff when it's infested with hornets. It's surprising how many will gather and build nests when you encourage them instead of chase them away. I just made a deal with them. I provide a place for them to live in peace, and they pay their rent by providing security. They don't bite me and I don't kill them. It's free. It works.
 
In one of the Bible class rooms at church we have some either wasps or mud daubers living in the ceiling. They make everyone nervous.

I'm afraid of wasps and bees. When they start flying around they make me nervous.

africanised bees, they are worse. they will kill you if you are a threat, they give chase for miles. we have them in florida. I have seen them. im not afraid of them, just aware and respectful of them.
 
I have been stung as recent as two weeks ago and my left hand swelled from that. it didn't help that I also had thirty ant bites in that location either.

I've never had to deal with those (yet). One thing I seemed to notice about the hornets: When I was around them they could swarm all around me, and did, but never hurt me. They had 4 nests inside a small 10'x12' shed and I could walk right in. But I didn't feel any fear of them, and I was careful not to do anything to harm them, like accidentally bang anything against one of their nests. But a few other people went over there who had a natural fear of them and got stung right away. It was almost as if they could sense the fear and they went right after it!

On the bright side, I had many thousands of dollars of stuff in that shed, and there was a local burglar living 2 houses away that burglarized almost every house in the neighborhood (when they caught him, he still had a lot of the stuff in his possession that he hadn't fenced yet), he knew I had stuff in there and any 5 year old kid could have easily broken in, yet in about 4 years of opportunity he never attempted it. Yep, fear of hornets! :-D
 
when you do and they are attacking take cover and they will even if you are in a car try to get you. the whole swarm attacks. I had a coworker that ran from a meter that I know is about half mile to the end of the road and get stung the whole time and he drove another mile and they still followed him.
