Well,that is a good question.It sounds like a good setup for a nightmare tonight.Getting on a plane and having snakes all over the place.After my day today that could very well happen :cries

I do it for safety. if I see a snake in a water box he gets a lift.

the grim reaper? we all don't want to die. but we have the victory of death.

farmers used reapers for years, start with that .

Say what? How do they get in? You're in Fla, right? Don't you guys use those aproxx 8" round brass cover plates in the ground, that bolt down? That's what they was using when I was down there.

It is too bad the the grim reaper represents death in itself.To me it represents going to hades not heaven.Maybe the grim reaper is satans version of the angel that takes us to heaven.

Ms Kathi: I've heard of art forms ostensible depicting death (skull, aspects of Gothic, etc.) can have their positive elements, such as indicating a lack of fear, etc.

Not sure what to think. I know that among Mexicans for example All Souls Day, November 2, has led to a lot of death-related artwork (flowery sugar skulls, etc.).

the idea of the grim reaper likely has biblical origins. see the book of revalation where god says to the angel stick the reaper into the winepress. and also where prophets talk about the sickle in use a judgment. the wheats and the tares would be reaped by a sickle.
