What are you listening right now?

Kind of purpley, though, it seemed, anyway.

I guess spikey can look good. Maybe a bit of color streaking too. On some ppl.
Anime characters have really odd hair colors. xD FMA is probably one of the only exceptions.

Hero, by Superchick

Some of the on-screen lyrics in the video are a bit off, just so you know.

I've known this song for a while, but the other night when watching a movie called To Save a Life this song played during the credits.

How to Save a Life, by The Fray

City on a Hill, by Casting Crowns

"Did you hear of the city on the hill?
Said one old man to the other
It once shined bright and it would be shining still
But they all started turning on each other

You see, the poets thought the dancers were shallow
And the soldiers thought the poets were weak
And the elders saw the young ones as foolish
And the rich man never heard the poor man speak

And one by one, they ran away
With their made up minds, to leave it all behind
And the light began to fade, in the city on the hill
The city on the hill

Each one thought that they knew better
But they were different by design
Instead of standing strong together
They let their differences divide

And one by one, they ran away
With their made up minds, to leave it all behind
And the light began to fade, in the city on the hill
The city on the hill

And the world is searching still
But it was the rhythm of the dancers
That gave the poets life
It was the spirit of the poets
That gave the soldiers strength to fight
It was the fire of the young ones
It was the wisdom of the old
It was the story of the poor man
That needed to be told

It is the rhythm of the dancers
That gives the poets life
It is the spirit of the poets
That gives the soldiers strength to fight
It is the fire of the young ones
It is the wisdom of the old
It is the story of the poor man
That's needing to be told

One by one, will we run away
With our made up minds to leave it all behind
As the light begins to fade, in the city on the hill
The city on the hill

One by one, will we run away
With our made up minds, to leave it all behind
As the light begins to fade, in the city on the hill
The city on the hill

Come home
To the city on the hill
Come home
To the city on the hill

I am currently listening to some of the music albums I bought with an iTunes gift card. Earlier I was listening to the album Innocence and Instinct, by Red, and now I'm listening to Fullmetal Alchemist: Themes and Songs.

Listening to Tenth Avenue North's album The Struggle. I especially like the song Worn:
Worn said:
I’m Tired I’m worn
My heart is heavy
From the work it takes to keep on breathing
I’ve made mistakes
I’ve let my hope fail
My soul feels crushed by the weight of this world
And I know that you can give me rest
So I cry out with all that I have left

Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that’s frail and torn
I wanna know the sun can rise from the ashes of a broken life
And all that’s dead inside can be reborn
Cause I’m worn

I know I need to lift my eyes up
But im too weak
Life just won’t let up
And I know that you can give me rest
So I cry out with all that I have left

Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that’s frail and torn
I wanna know the sun can rise from the ashes of a broken life
And all that’s dead inside can be reborn
Cause I’m worn
My prayers are wearing thin
And I’m worn
Even before the day begins
I’m worn
I’ve lost my will to fight
I’m worn
Heaven come and flood my eyes

Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that’s frail and torn
I wanna know the sun can rise from the ashes of a broken life
And all that’s dead inside can be reborn
Cause all that’s dead inside will be reborn

Though I’m worn
Yeah I’m worn

I haven't checked out any new bands yet, but as mentioned above, I did get one of Red's albums from a few years ago. It's awesome!

questdriven:

So which one was this? (Your mom bought it for you for Christmas, maybe?)

You seem to know what you like, anyway.

Blessings.

Innocence and Instinct. My mom got me an iTunes gift card, and I bought three albums with it, including that one. =)

Okay, ty. Has your mom listened to it, too, maybe? (Hope your mom finds peace of heart at this stressful time with your dad's illness, btw.)
