Justification is a legal word that is frequently used in a court of law.
JUSTIFY: 1. To show to be just or reasonable; vindicate. 2. To declare guiltless; absolve.
No one will see heaven that has not been justified by the doing and the dying of Jesus Christ. To be justified by Jesus one must believe the Gospel. In the Gospel Jesus has fulfilled all of the demands of God's Holy Law, he did this in our name and on our behalf. Having fulfilled the law, he abolished it. "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes" Romans 10:4. To everyone that believes the Gospel.
In the Gospel Jesus atones for our sins and the sins of the whole world, 1 John 2:2. As far as God is concerned Jesus has victoriously defeated sin, death and the devil. He did this in our name and on our behalf, as our substitute and representative. All that believe the Gospel can say with all certainty that they are complete in Christ, Colossians 2:10. In Jesus Christ they have been justified, sanctified and redeemed, 1 Corinthians 1:30. And have been reconciled unto God, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19.
All that have been justified by the doing and the dying of Jesus will stand in God's Holy Court as guiltless. God can find no sin in those that have been justified by Jesus Christ. Religion does not justify. There is no other way to be justified than by the doing and the dying of Jesus. Jesus justifies the ungodly, Romans 4:5 and reconciles them unto God. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19.
