Jeremiah 1:4 "
Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,"
Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."
It was in that first earth age that Paul, Jeremiah and all the others that are of the elect came to that standing before the Lord, and Paul discussed this in both
Ephesians 1:4 and
Romans 11:7, 8.
Ephesians 1:4 "According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundations of this world [earth age], that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:"
This means that there were certain people that God chose in the first earth age to do a task for Him in this age of the flesh man. This is not reincarnation, for it is appointed for each of us to go through this earth age, the flesh earth age, once and only once. This appointing took place before the foundations of our present second earth age [cosmos] was even formed.
Ephesians 1:5 "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,"
"
Predestined" means "
from a prior time", or
"required to do a certain thing" in the Greek. You have a choice of loving God, or loving Satan. God will not interfere with your free will choice to chose Him or Satan. However, the person that proved himself during the overthrow by Satan were
"justified" in that first earth age and earned the right then to be called "saints". Each soul comes from God and enters the embryo at conception. This is why both Jeremiah and Paul and anyone of the elect [chosen] were known by God before they even entered into the embryo in their mothers womb.
"Sanctified thee" means that this person was "
set aside, or apart for a certain purpose". Their sins still have to be repented and the price of the blood of Christ still hast to be paid, but the Spirit of God will work in their lives to cause them to do that purpose that God intends them to do.
Paul's
"will" first was to kill and beat up on Christians, and take them prisoners, however God struck Paul down on that road to Damascus and changed Paul's life to fit the "will" that God had for his life, and he became the leader of the Christian world.
Romans 11:7 "
What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded" (continued into the next verse.)
Romans 11:8 "(
According as it is written, "God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and earths that they should not hear)."
The elect will see the mysteries of God, while the others will not see because they have the spirit of slumber on them. God is not a respecter of persons not does he have favorites among men. The elect were judged in that first earth age because they have already made a stand against Satan, and God can interject into their life when ever He so chooses. The "elect" though must also pass through this age of the flesh. They must be born from "above" [again], and in the birthing water sack like all babes in the flesh are born, and by faith repent to the Father in Jesus name for their sins. Some souls of the first earth age did not come to earth through the womb, as we read of in
Jude 1-6, and they are set aside for judgment along with Satan.
