I judge with a correct judgement. The church is not a system. They deck christs house out with unneeded luxury items thats idolatry, and pay themselves luxury salarys and sell merchandice in his house of prayer and fellowship. No humble.

its not a sin to have some ornateness that truly does focus one on Jesus. I have a few images of a church, one the earliest catholic churches in America and still in use. very ornate and hallowing. the windows tell a story and point to the cross.

my church has some ornateness, sheesh its not a sin, its when it goes overboard its a problem. modern churches are more like rock concert halls rather then the old ones who built with the stain glass windows and other ornateness that had bible stories on them. when you are looking up to the heavens in these you are reminded of the bible descriptions of what it is. do you have a problem with that? I don't. just because a church is small and plain doesn't mean its of God. plenty of these churches that could fit that are all near the poor in Gifford and its sad . I have walked to four last week while reading. two on the north side of the route and two on the south side.

sometimes other churches help others and I haven't seen any gold painting on the wall. ornate windows isn't, that's not luxury. its quite cheap. shoot slaves, yes slaves built a church in savannah Georgia and they made those. the church that mlk gave his speech I have a dream was in that church.

It doesn't matter, merchandice is being sold out of Jesus house of prayer and fellowship. They should do it elsewhere. Go sell them through a book store.

they do! so let me get this as churches her own nurseries and run schools and those make money. they shouldn't . its a sin to educate and raise up kids on the bible on the church?

jaci sang songs and prayed at meals at the age of 4 from such an effort! I have went to her plays. yet that was held on the church ground as most nurseries use parts of the church and in part because of that will pay taxes. I have no problem with that.

so to fulfill your legalist requirement a church should have its prayer room, pastoral office and educational wing away from where they teach kids,sell books that are edifiying? that makes no sense since the 503 will simply apply to both if that is the case, and if not the land isn't a church legally. ta da!

I know how non profit works. They cannot charge it has to be donations. But a organisation still pays salarys.

If a organisation was recieving and paying someone a million dollar salary and that person lived a lifestyle of luxury and just wrote books in retirement and then sold those books and recieved royalties as a seperate business thats a bit rigged.

The people who purchase her books are the same people who donate to the ministry, who are the same people who pay her a salary. Well thats herself because she and her husband are President and Vice President and there Sons are the CEO's.

Go to the ministries website there are many books for sale. No bible though. I dont think there is, if there is its somewhere down the bottom.

Not rigged as its not a 503c.it's a business.the irs would not tolerate that.

Can't use funds like that without a real good justification. She couldn't per tax laws use funds for political purposes.

All prosperity teachings are false. Jesus is enough. That is the Gospel. The Apostles were beaten senceless and walked away rejoicing. There is nothing more than Jesus.

It does not guarentee a great life or wealth or health. The Gospel message is Jesus is enough.

Its not about prosperity and learning a way to try live a really nice blessed life though God, nothing is guarenteed, there all false teachings.

I'm not comparing Meyer to Solomon, but I wonder if you'd be ranting against him like this if you were there as the temple was being built. As any entity gets bigger, so go the facilities they operate in. As ministries get bigger, so go their venues.

I've never listened to her. My hearsay opinion is that she's part of the Prosperity Gospel camp, so that's been enough to steer clear of her for me. That said, these evangelists on TV put themselves out there for criticism continuously. Of course they will be ridiculed for some things they say. We all feel a fraction of that ourselves here when we make any kind of statement. If my views were broadcast everyday on TV and YouTube, I'd have an endless parade of warriors with keyboard courage ranting on me. The difference between she and I is that I'm not Called to be a minister. Unless we have evidence that she hasn't been Called, we ought to take care with the way we speak of her. If she has gone off the rails, He will hold her that extra measure of accountable.

Yes I did go on about it a bit too much but it was in general discussion and so i will share my opinions but i didn't really need to go on about it as much as i did.

You say we need evidence if someone is not called and the bible clearly tells us what to watch out for and who are false teachers. Maybe its just me but when it comes to the church, because im a believer in Christ i will always dig deep and scrutinise to test someones calling as the scriptures say many false prophets have gone out, and that was 2000 years ago think about it today. And should we warn others about false teachers. I think we can.

The Gospel message is Jesus is enough.

Nothing is guarenteed as even the Apostles suffered horrifically yet could still come out rejoicing thats the power of the gospel, and wealth, health, or anything else in this world is not guarenteed by God and the message is Jesus is enough in every moment of our lives he is enough. So many prosperity teachings I know are false.

Alot of prosperity teachers have truth and talk scripture yet they add errors and/or use the scriptures to turn people from the truth and teach them to follow the world through Jesus.

Even I make mistakes I dont claim im called as a Teacher or Pastor or anything, I make mistakes and learn from them.

There are some wack false teachers out there. Cefro thinks Adam could fly around and teleport himself anywhere he wanted, and all the planets are God's unfinished work.
