What Gifts from God are revocable?

OK,
Well you asked if God gave gifts and then took them back...
And I provided several instances where God did just that.

Gehazi was Elisha's apprentice just like Elisha was Elijah's apprentice... promise of good things to come and all that.
But lost his position and job due to a bad case of leprosy. God and Elisha were rather upset about it too.

Health and wealth may be "common grace" things to you but to many people they are extraordinary. I'd love to have perfect health and wealth. Or even a chance to be Elisha's apprentice. I wonder at the things I could learn.
No. Go back. Where did God give an individual or a specific person a GIFT and later revokes it.

If God said," JohnDB, I give to you perfect health and perfect wealth.....forever."........can you give an example from scripture that he later revokes that gift or promise.

Again i ask do they have the land

YES. We don't have to occupy it to HAVE it. The deed is mine......there just may be a violent terrorist 'trying' to steal it from me for the time being.

But your not making sense.

You first are arguing that Gods Gift to Israel is revocable......then seem to argue that it is not????

No. Go back. Where did God give an individual or a specific person a GIFT and later revokes it.

If God said," JohnDB, I give to you perfect health and perfect wealth.....forever."........can you give an example from scripture that he later revokes that gift or promise.
Can't do it...I ain't in scripture to start with.
I do know that the Gehazi guy had a position that I would love to have. But he blew it when he got greedy with the Aramean leader. (Naaman)
Judas had an even better job but he blew it too...he got to hang out with Jesus on a daily basis in the flesh and witness all kinds of miracles.

Both of them but Especially Judas was given their jobs by God. (Especially Judas since Jesus is God) that kind of job is a big big gift. To lose it devastated them.

Thanks John.

But I am looking for a gift that He has given a person, and He later revoked.
Not the common grace gifts he gives to all. But a gift He gives a person. Like the gift of eyesight he gave to the blind man. Can you or anyone specify a gift that he later 'took back?'

Job...
God blessed him and took it all back.
Gehazi was an apprentice to Elisha but lost his health and job.

If God said," JohnDB, I give to you perfect health and perfect wealth.....forever."........can you give an example from scripture that he later revokes that gift or promise.

Jos 21:43 And the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
Jos 21:44 And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
Jos 21:45 There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.

So we are in agreement. The land is theirs.......God promised it to them.......forever.

Ok. I will try to be more clear.

If we see God giving a specific gift to a specific person in His word....................Show us where it is later revoked.

God's mercy is irrevocable regarding a believer, and once it's applied to you and you become born again, God's mercy then becomes eternal regarding your specific redemption.
God's eternal mercy is offered to all who would come, but its only eternally applied to those who do.
Once you do, you are born again, and this is the literal blood bought mercy of God, MANIFESTED and applied to YOU.....= and it's irrevocable.

they lost it via disobedience
Because of this.......?

Gen 26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;
Gen 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
Gen 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Lev 26:38 And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
Lev 26:39 And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.
Lev 26:40 If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;
Lev 26:41 And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:
Lev 26:42 Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
Lev 26:43 The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.
Lev 26:44 And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God.
Lev 26:45 But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.
Lev 26:46 These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.

Breaking my word.. God Sent Jesus ..
Thank God that His Gifts cannot be revoked.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17)

Salvation is one of the Gifts from God that is not revocable.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17)

No mention of Salvation in your scripture.

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Faith is the gift mentioned here in Ephesians 2:8-9

Furthermore the word irrevocable is the Bible, which is also rendered without repentance, simply means -
"Without regret" in the Greek.

When God gives us a gift, He does so without regret, even if we in our foolishness disregard or depart from or neglect that gift, God in His infinite mercy and patience does not regret the gifts He gives to His children.

What we do know for sure that s people can indeed choose to break Covenant with the Lord and end up cut off or disconnected from Him because they returned to unbelief, or disobedience, which is the same Greek word, and used interchangeably throughout the New Testament.

You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” 20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. 22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. 23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. Romans 11:19-23

We could have pages on this one! But, even with your examples...........when was it ever revoked by God? Even with Judas, the Lord was offering him a chance to change his mind until the end.
Even with Judas, when did the Lord revoke Judas' job?........we are straying a long ways from the gifts of God and those gifts being revoked.........But even in service, when did the Lord ever revoke someones call to service? Never, as I see it........People just choose not to serve any longer.

JLB. Love ya, but you openly admit that you are not saved at this time. You need to get saved and get the Spirit.

Acts 16:31. The Lord Jesus Christ died and rose again for you and your sins...........trust in His work. Get the indwelling of the Spirit and we can talk.
