Who ever gets the last Word

Commie? Nick's an Anglican!
:lol

But not one of those High Anglicans in England. More like a regular Baptist church, but better :D

We call it low Anglican, and more specifically, Sydney Anglican. There's a difference ,becasue many other Anglican diocese in the world (and certainly Australia) have strayed from the Bible.

Yes, didn't you hear? Socialists own EVERYTHING! And that includes this thread.

lol, it's 12:30 AM here

That means that it's already tomorrow over there. So, I've been communicating with someone from the future? Cool! Of course, I suppose that's only to be expected, since I am, after all, an alien (and I even have my resident alien card to prove it).

Aren't Anglicans more like Lutheran, all boring and old and everything?

Ah, yes, well you can call me Doc. ;) :D

Like Lutherens they are close to the reformation (I think, or at least I am :D).

So in answer to your question, depends. If you go to an Assembles of God church, then pretty much every other church is going to seem pretty boring.

We're not charismatic, but a pretty exciting and youthful church.

I became a Christian in the United States at the age of 15. When I was 17, we moved back to Iceland. The state church here is the Evangelical Lutheran church, and there is one just a few minutes walk from were we first lived after coming here. The first Sunday after ariving in Reykjavik, I went to that church. Everybody there, except me, was positively ancient (or at least it seemed that way to me). I was probably the only one there under 40. The hymns were boring, the liturgy was way to formal and the sermons... you don't even want to know about the sermons. I knew right away that this wasn't the denomination for me. I later found a Charismatic Lutheran (state) church that was completely different and I attended it for many years, so I know they aren't all boring. I'm glad you found a good church.

I had a similar experience. I belong to the Dutch Reformed denomination and the services can bore you to tears. But I'm comfortable with the doctrines. I have found, quite conveniently, a wonderful church just around the block from me. Actually I belonged to the church many year ago, but in the interim the minister 'got with the programme' and it is now the most amazing church to visit. I love going there.

Word.

Hmmm.

Nick, Theofilus, and L'Chante.

Here in the Gringo Zone we have Lake Chapala, a lake so large that it actually appears on globes and world maps. I would like to invite all three of you to come visit us. Then, we'll round up a bunch of Christians go down to the lake, and...

And what? Go waterskiing? I'd love that.
