Who is the devil

OK, I agree with you that there are no movie type aliens and no green men from mars. I still don't understand your fascination with the word 'alien'. The word alien is no where to be found in the Bible. If it is, they are referring to being not of this world, as in Jesus and born again Christians are from a heavenly order, as in heaven...not from venus or pluto!! lol.

What stories are you talking about???

I'm not fasinated with the word alien, its a word the world created, its just a word that discribes a being not from this earth, but some people have a problem with it so lets not talk about it

historically all many false religions have false deity's even the greek mythology is surounded with stories of gods doing spectacular things, the god of ephesus had its god artemis of the ephesians that has stories that had there begining in some form other than just a story

the story of Jesus may seem like just a story today to average people but it started with a real Jesus, doing miraculas things, stories begin somewhere, they don't just invent themselves and people worship and pray to a story about a never existing person

And with this you are correct. blessings. When God uses the devil to tempt an unbeliever, the unbeliever blames God and continues in sin rather than repenting of their sins. God makes them look like fools.
The scripture shows God does not and will not ever tempt anyone (believer or un-believer). However there are trials and tribulations we will all face to test us.

Correct, rather God uses the devil. Notice I said God uses the devil tempt us. He uses him.

You think the Son of God could be deceived by His own mind? Your getting very close to heresy here, that Jesus was delusional. I think you might want to back off that position.

Lol. You put words in my mouth. I said nothing about Jesus being "deceived by his own mind" or being "delusional".

Hebrews tells us that Jesus was tempted in all ways, just like *we* are and James tells us that the way *we* are tempted is when we are drawn away because of our own lust and are enticed. Precisely because He is the Son of God, Jesus could have gotten any of these desires without the aid of Satan. Jesus was being tempted with offers He could make happen without the aid of Satan, but resisted without the use of powers that *we* do not possess. Tempted to trade the personal gift of self-sacrifice on the cross for personal desires, instant acclaim and world domination, Jesus' strength came from his internalization of the Word of God.

yeah maybe he ate wild peyote buttons and the whole thing was just a bad trip

Yeah, maybe the Devil's winged and flies around from place-to-place with his pointy horns, pitchfork and little red tail. Talk about peyote trips...

Who were the lawless ones of the days the Lord walked the earth? It was the religious hypocrites who thought they kept the law! It is the same today. The law of faith, the royal law of love is the only acceptable law of God for man.
The law of moses is not of faith and is the strength of sin.
Satan and his ministers mask themselves as preachers of the righteousness of law. Accusing and condemning those who have been justified by the Blood of Christ.

Jesus Christ did not come to condemn but to save. He is the justifier!

Satan comes but to steal, kill and destroy. he is the accuser of the brotheren.

Those who walk in the flesh are lawless, those who are under law are in fact in the flesh. Paul makes this point very clear, the Holy Spirit assumes one would understand the book of Revelation by the gospel, not by religious tradition of by the law of moses.

John himself wrote the commandments of God are to believe in His Son and to love as He gave commandment.
So any lawlessness is for those who turn from these holy commandments back into the law of moses.

In any discussion of satan, one should understand what his name means in Hebrew and in Greek. It always means the ACCUSER he first accused God in the garden, and after mans fall, he has been accusing us. His ministers mask themselves as ministers of righteousness? Always talking about others sins, always making sin the issue. Never will you hear the truth that in Gods Grace we have overcome sin. Even the righteous in Christ are accused, and the Cross has little meaning or value to these false teachers. In fact they would twist the Cross into a work of mans own suffering? Its always a focus upon the flesh of man and how a man must earn from God salvation.
They claim they are not under law, nor preach the law? But they are in fact those that Paul warned against.
"Justified freely by His Grace" means exactly that! Its not a mixture of our works and His grace. All works are wrought through the Spirit of God, working in us.
satan the "accuser" hates this truth above all others!
He is the accuser of those God has justified. This is ALWAYS his tactic. So as the serpent deceived eve, beware of those who what you to eat from the tree of death and condemnation. The Ten Commandments 2 Cor 3
"did God really say" the strength of sin is the law?

Moderator: "Make the effort and help me out as I do not want to be the ad hominem "traffic cop" here. "ad hominem" (Latin for "to the man" or "to the person"), is an argument made personally against an opponent instead of against their argument. It is a type of irrelevance. Do keep your comments relevant to the subject under discussion."

according to the bible the devil is one of many devils that were cast down to earth, they're main goal is to deceive man away from belief in God, they have supernatural abilities to transform their appearences, many people I believe have seen them, but the world has conjured up their own belief, and it has reached the point where even Christians don't reconize whats going on, many would rather cover their eyes and ears and say (NONE OF ITS TRUE!)

yet we have whole cities witnessing unexplained occurances, that have only two possible answers, one man has greater technology than the world is privy to, or these things are the work of satan and his devils to deceive mankind into believing a lie of the greatest scale
