Why didn't CHRIST invite doctors?

2 Chronicles 16:12;
"In the 39th year of his reign Asa was diseased in his feet, and his disease became severe. Yet even in his disease he did not seek the Lord, but sought help from physicians".

Job 13:4;
"As for you, you white wash with lies: worthless physicians are you all".

Mark 5:24-29;
..."and there was a woman who had a discharge of blood for 12 years, and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse"...

Does anyone know any positive physician healing verses?
How about the Lord's parable of the good samaritan?

Luk 10:30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
Luk 10:31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
Luk 10:32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
Luk 10:33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
Luk 10:34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
Luk 10:35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
Luk 10:36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
Luk 10:37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

Jesus doesn't say to pray for his healing. He says go take care of some one... binding their wounds using what they had for meds . We use both prayer and meds...

Thanks for this reply. Long time no see, Tim. LOL. Actually the question should be: Why didn't CHRIST 'involve' doctors. Typing gets messy at times...when the fingers are typing something else while the brain is giving another. I'm not against medical assistance. I'm against us being overly dependent on it, and forgetting all about GOD
Very good clarification of your question. That changes everything in mid-game now. I couldn't agree with you more where you say: "I'm against us being overly dependent on it, and forgetting all about GOD".

I don't believe it was the primary mission of Jesus to heal the world of physical sickness, so using doctors to do that wouldn't have been his objective. His primary purpose was to provide the sacrifice we needed to pay for our sins and his ministry while He was here on Earth was to show the way to God. Miracles of healing, along with his other miracles were used to further this goal, not to make everyone around Him more physically comfortable.

Ah! I see where we see this differently now. We are looking at this from different perspectives. You are of the frame of reference that if something is shown as imperfect in the Bible we are to reject it altogether where my frame of reference is that if it is not prohibited we are allowed to use it as long as we recognize it's limitations and do not make an idol out of it. Your frame of reference is if God performed a miracle one time, that is meant as an instruction that this is the only way God wants that particular thing done and anyone who does not wait for a similar miracle in a similar situation is out of God's will and lacks faith. My frame of reference is that the miracles God performed were for the purpose of bringing glory to himself and demonstrating his power so people could know him (therefore they don't need to be repeated every single time) and also to sometimes take over where we as humans reach our limits and can not go further.
That's quite an explanation, much more than I had in mind.
I think you are over-thinking.

I don't really know what is right and what is wrong.
All I can say is the negative verses towards doctors in Scripture are very close to my experiences in life.

What about this, what about that?
That's not how you answer posts.
Try taking what I said and do something with it.

Dear Reba, I know I sounded rude to you.
Sorry.
I was only trying to stir you up a bit, get the blood flowing, you know.
I guess the forum doesn't work that way anymore.
I guess us old dinosaurs need to be put out to pasture.
isn't that what florida is for?

Gee, that really could be interpreted as saying you don't want us to post anything (not even scripture) that disagrees with your position and we should just "do something" that will agree with you instead. I'm sure you didn't mean it that way, but it kind of came across that way. Maybe you could explain exactly what you meant by that so we can understand and respond better.

Show me where the Word says that. Book, chapter, verse will suffice.

Thanks.
.
Luke 6:46
Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not [practice] what I tell you?
John 13:13
You call Me the Teacher (Master) and the Lord, and you are right in doing so, for that is what I am.
1 Chronicles 16:11
Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.
Psalm 9:10
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Psalm 22:26
The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
Psalm 105:4
Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
Psalm 122:9
Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.
Proverbs 28:5
Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things.

I know you were not asking me sincerely, but here are these 8 Scriptures for you to consider my brother.
The 1st 2 are Jesus saying you call Me Lord, but You don't do what I instruct you to do (notice He never sent His disciples or anyone else to a doctor, but rather you see Matthew 8:16-17 is the fulfillment of Isaiah 53:4-5 and it is YOUR bread, as HIS child?)?
1 CHR 16:11 says to seek His face CONTINUALLY - there's no exception made for when the Devil attacks your body with something so that you can go seek a doctor instead. Psalm 105:4 says to seek His face evermore; again, there is no exception made in anyway, like a timeout, for one to go seek after what man can do for them. These are all laid plain to you.
And glory be to God Who has given you the right to every promise, including healing, through Gal 3:13,14, 29, 2 Cor 1:20, etc.

Also consider why it was that Jesus kept all of His other disciples out of the room when He went in to raise Jairus' daughter from the dead; He only brought Peter, John and James.....He kept the unbelief OUT, and these were HIS disciples, trained and instructed BY Him personally, who had already seen Him do all sorts of Kingdom of God things, but they were still kept out, because their unbelief would have stopped Him from bringing that little girl back to life....
Don't believe me, ask Jesus, for in His hometown of Nazareth He could do no mighty works except to lay His hands on a few sick people and heal them.......because of their unbelief.
Their unbelief stopped God from doing the things HE wanted to do to HEAL them and do MIRACLES.
GOD'S WILL was their healing (same for the Pharisees), and THEIR unbelief stopped God.

Actually, the man who took care of that man was a despised Samaritan - someone NOT in the Covenant. This man would have had zero access to the Kingdom of God or the anointing or God's Spirit. Therefore, Jesus would not and could not have spoken of this man doing healing, because only Jews could have come into the Covenant at first.

Also read the first part of this interaction:
25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbor?

SO Jesus answered the man's question about who his neighbor was (and this man was a merciless lawyer). Also notice that the question initially was given to TEMPT Jesus (or test), and that the branch of this temptation or test was him wanting to make it so that he did not have to do anything for most people, especially not Samaritans (those half-breeds out of the Covenant). So again, this man is not Jesus' disciple and He is someone who is looking to live by the Law and keep it on his own.

God the Father, in Jesus' body, destroyed ALL sickness and disease at the cross, and by the stripes Jesus took, WE were healED.
Either He's lying or He's telling the Truth - so either you and I are healed in Christ by His stripes, or He lied. It can't be both. God's Word is either absolutely true or absolutely wrong, we can't pick and choose parts. It's either totally accepted and believed or not.
So anyone IN Christ has access to apply these things to their lives, the promises of the Covenant.
It's akin to having food in your pantry; your son wants to eat, once he's old enough, tell him to get out the cereal you provided, pour it into the bowl you provided, eat it with the spoon you provided after pouring in the milk you provided.
A symptom of sickness shows up, or a pain in your foot, or back pain, or some disease, and you take what God has provided in the Covenant and speak God's Word against that thing, plead the blood of Jesus against it, curse it in Jesus' name, command it to die and be removed out of your body this instant, bind the Devil, inform him that you are not going to take it, that you are redeemed from the curse and every sickness and disease and that you are the property of God and to take his hand of sickness/disease off you now. Keep speaking life, keep thanking God for His Word destroying that thing, thank God that Jesus' stripes already healed you and you have TAKEN that healing and it's in your body now...Get out your Scriptures and TAKE them; consider first Mark 11:22-24, 1 John 5:1-5 (YOUR FAITH!), Gal 3:13-14, 2 Cor 1:20, Luke 10 (authority over all the power of the enemy (remember Jesus also legally took it all from him and gave it to YOU))...

Actually, the Jews as a whole despised Samaritans; they called them 'dogs' (they were the descendants of those who disobeyed God and intermarried with the people around the Jews, thereby resulting in a race of half-Jew/half-whatever, all collectively called Samaritans), which is what Jesus called that Samaritan woman (so that she could get the deliverance for her daughter even though she was not in the dispensation of the Gospel just yet (He came only to the Jews at first...)).
You may already know most or all of that, but others may not.
So, the Jews in the story despised the Samaritan, and the man asking the question would have despised Samaritans as well, or else he would not have asked the question.

No eye glasses for those of faith. Tooth ache dont pull it let God heal it... Play a game of baseball and wham the ball hits your tooth if God does not restore you go without.? Get in a car wreck need stitches nope the God will heal the wound... A pretty little girl gets dog bit in the face pray about it and remember no stitches.. let her cheek flap in the wind.... where is the line? is a band aid a lack of faith... I am not being sarcastic.. asking for real questions.

The Christian guy skiing breaks his leg dont use the ski for a splint claim it is healed... He should just get up claim the healing and walk ... no he shouldn't have to walk i guess he should just get up and ski on down the slope... His leg is healed according to your understanding of Scripture...

With the understanding of
WE were healED.
we have nothing to be healed of it was done.
And when the healing is not there we blame the victim ...

I believe in miracles .. i believe my Grandmother died and Grandpa prayed her back( so to speak) about 1932.

Keep speaking life, keep thanking God for His Word destroying that thing, thank God that Jesus' stripes already healed you and you have TAKEN that healing and it's in your body now..

If the healing, as to your understanding " WE were healED." why do you say keep speaking life... why do you say "destroying" is not not done?
I believe all healing is of God ..Jas_5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. if it is Mommy kissing the booboo she is showing Gods love. If a buddy splints you leg to get you off the hill it is God given knowledge ... Wife/mom puts you to bed and about drowns ya with soup and juice that is from God ... Medical wisdom is from God...

I see nothing in your post that would indicate that it is forbidden to see a doctor. If you have something besides your opinion, I'd be interested in seeing it.

Gday Rodain,

This scripture is about salvation and the resurrection. Believers are healed from damnation into eternal life. If we were healed from all sickness and consequences of the fall we wouldn't age or die.

1Pe 2:24-25 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. (25) For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
