This is an excellent point Reba and the only way I see it reconciled in scripture is that the last day IS a thousand years long.. because that then accounts for both resurrections (the just and the damned) being raised on the last day while still being a thousand years apart.

And Rev 20 clearly shows a thousand year period of time (mentioned 6 times in that chapter) between the resurrection.. and as mentioned, the only way I see it reconciled in scripture is to understand that the Day of the Lord, the Day of Jesus Christ, is a thousand years long..

In that Day He will be King over all the earth.. do you think He will reign for 24 hours and that's it.. ?

It wasn't KJ English... Yes that makes sense but John 5/6 does not read like a parable.

reign as it rules OVER US. death reigned before. so we dont ever sin? if christ reigns in FULL magnitude then what happened?
can you tell me why the calvinistic puritians failed all of them? where they go wrong with killing the witches(which king james a anglican perscribed and cleary against what jesus taught). what about the persuction of the anabaptists? and others by the puritans? why was the idea of first amendment needed then? surely they had it right.

that is a change of nature postionally as we have the ability to repent and choose life over death versus the old way that we couldnt resist sin in general. a christian has the choice to rebel and sin , as opposed to the sinner who by nature love sin and cant choose to serve God(hey that calvin in nature).

and why then is a prince allowed to run amok in the kingdom? when i go to work for the army or my job is it called the united army of jesus? or the florida army national guard.
