isreal has a ton of oil under it and off her shores and is willing to allow oil to be drilled.Some of the reformed guys i know seem want us to walk away from isreal and also at the same time cry about oil depence on opec. Go figure.

i wasnt meaning to derail that but since you all were talking about scofield and et all.the fb buddies who think you all do were commenting on zionism. and said we need to stop supporting isreal. The only democratic nation that is effective in the middle east that has oil now or will be. common sense

however, back to this topic.I could thrown in the ot prophecy on this that some like to mention on the dispensalitionlist side.

I dont see any compelling challenge to pre-millinialism in John 6 . Gods kingdom is clearly spiritual in nature, davids throne is clearly not. The 7th trump clearly shows a joining of Gods kingdom to mans.

Israel is clearly the focus of much end time prophacy, and i am not a dispensationalist by any means. I dont really understand all the animosity against israel myself.

i know. i cant for the life understand that why some say that God is done with isreal and say that according to "church" traditions. keep in mind that the "christian" has some historical hatred of all things hebrew. luther killed jews and so did the rcc. hitler didnt just all of sudden motivate the germans to do what they did. some background hate was already there,.He merely fanned it and directed it.

and spurgeon i believe to be a reformed theoligican did believe in isreal return to a physical land.

keep in mind the discovery of that oil was as recent late 2009. it takes time to drill there, and also cyprus and syria and lebanon are also (since the oil is off their coasts are wanting to determine oil rights and leases).

if interested do a seperate thread on this.

i did say i didnt want to deviate to much, this subject reminded me of that as i was observing some fb friends that are calvinist berate a zionist.

What is after the last day? If i have understood, you have stated the millenniem is after the last day then after the thousand years satan is loosed to rase havoc.

Joh 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

Joh 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

This is an excellent point Reba and the only way I see it reconciled in scripture is that the last day IS a thousand years long.. because that then accounts for both resurrections (the just and the damned) being raised on the last day while still being a thousand years apart.

Be not ignorant of this one thing, that a day WITH the Lord is as a thousand years..

i am a zionist and dont hide what wrong isreal has done, and much to you two's chagrin nor would (or will ever) deny the wrong the united states has done in wars past and current.

And the Millennium will be 365,000 years because the seldom quoted portion of that verse says a thousand years is as a day.

Maybe Even can find that elusive passage that combines a thousand years and Jesus being bodily present on earth.
