Garbage like this should be publicly rebuked in the strongest manner by the church. This pastor is showing he knows nothing about being freed from the bondage of the flesh and coming under the control of the Holy Spirit. He is NOT a man of God that we should even be considering his authority as a Pastor. He is to be rebuked and separated from Christianity. How can someone who shows they know nothing about the power of the Holy Spirit to live righteously be respected as a leader in the church?Another Pastor.
He is of the opinion that the youth could decide to have sex...he claims it helps to prepare them for the real thing: Marriage. (A little paraphrased)
welcomeI wonder what his opinion will be when all the youthful girls get pregnant??
That we are all to reach deep into our pockets to support them financially and care for them. Because that's all that matters to be saved anyway, right?I wonder what his opinion will be when all the youthful girls get pregnant??
What do you do if a girl gets pregnant if the pastor only preaches abstinence?I wonder what his opinion will be when all the youthful girls get pregnant??
Next time you talk to the youth group make sure you define abstinence? What do you do if a girl gets pregnant if the pastor only preaches abstinence?
People don't always do what you tell them to, even if it is for their benefit. Sometimes they make mistakes.Next time you talk to the youth group make sure you define abstinence?

I agree. My question was a little different. We're still supposed to give them proper instruction and not say things that make them stumble.
That sounds great, but didn't answer my question.6 The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7 the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God." (Romans 8:6-8 NIV1984)
What I found out is your Church's youth group should be viewed as a place for evangelizing unbelievers--those who are not yet born again. To think that the kids going to your church are believers because they love going there and have lots of fun and even seem to be 'getting into it' is IMO a very, very big mistake. It seems few young people in Church youth groups do not become immoral but in fact abandon what they've been taught in youth group after they graduate high school and move on from their youth group. It's sad, but it's true.
Without a genuine born again experience it's impossible to live for God. That's why Jesus said you must be born again, or from above, to see the Kingdom of God.
Perhaps, but that didn't stop members in this thread from commenting on it. I merely wondered what they would do.Good question, but in terms of the OP kind of along the lines of "apples and oranges".
There's a big difference between dealing with the engine that blew in your car because it was out of oil, and the mechanic who told you it was OK to run that engine without oil in the first place.
There's also a big difference between dealing with someone who has sinned, and a "supposed" man of God telling them that it's OK to sin in the first place.
It was not a response to a question but what you stated:That sounds great, but didn't answer my question.
