Genesis chapter 4
"13 And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear. 14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive (who was he hiding from if there weren't other people?) and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me. (Other people+ death penalty for murder = a legal system, this was a sophisticated society.)

15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. (There were other people, he was not in isolation.)

16 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD ( meaning they were pagans), and dwelt in the land of Nod (this was the Kenite tribe - Jewish Encyclopaedia) on the east of Eden. The father-in-law of Moses was from this tribe, but that was much later.

17And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. (Cain had a wife who wasn't his mother, they were building walled cities which is dating evidence, cities were built for people and walled cities, similar to Jericho, were built for defence against other people and other nations.)

18 And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.19And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. 20And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle. (They were tent dwellers, our ancestors were cave dwellers and they were farmers rather than their ancestors who were hunter gatherers. Cain was a farmer and Able was a shepherd)

21 And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ. (Early man did not have sophisticated musical instruments, neither could they make fire.)

22 And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah. (Brass and iron, early man used stone tools i.e. the stone age. This is the bronze age that came much later.)

Scripture doesn't speak about other children from Adam and Eve but putting 2 and 2 together, it is not difficult to suspect and/or believe there were others. Scripture does not say how much time passed between the births of Cain and Abel. It only says, "In the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, but He did not respect Cain and his offering." (Genesis 4:3-5 NKJV) How much time and how many other children were born to Adam and Eve during that time? It's anyone's guess but it is not important to the main subject of the story.....Jesus.

Excuse me! What do you mean Scripture does not speak about other children from Adam and Eve? Have you read Genesis 5:4? https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Genesis-Chapter-5/

If I could find the same Jewish source again, I could even tell you the sisters' names.

Who do you think the Israelites were/are descended from? They are not "new people". They are as old as every other human.
They were not even a nation until the end of WW2. Before then, they trace their history back to Abram, and he came from Ur of the Chaldees, where human sacrifice was customary. People had been settled in Ur of the Chaldees for a long time already. Then one family followed Joseph into Egypt where they stayed for four hundred years. When they returned to the land where they are now, they slaughtered their cousins, who they had left behind. So, I suppose we can date them from Moses, and he was late on the world stage. So late, they were surrounded by many nations. The people we think of now as being Israilites, are descended from Judah. (From memory. It was over 60 years ago when I was taking these exams.)

There were people long before this on the English coast. People go back as far as the last ice-age, thousands of years ago.

Became? How did that happen?

God destroyed it

At the end of Genesis 1:1 the first earth age ceased to exist in its previous form. God created the earth to be inhabited, and then He destroyed it. There was an entire earth age that existed between verses one and two of Genesis. This first earth age is spoken of in II Peter, Jeremiah, Proverbs, and Jude.

In Isaiah 45:18; "For thus saith the Lord That created the heavens; God Himself That formed the earth and made it; He hath established it He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: "I am the Lord; and there is none else."
This is God speaking as Isaiah is writing it down, and He is telling us that when He created the earth, it was not in vain. "Vain" is the same Hebrew word that we saw in Genesis 1:2, which was given as "void". God created this earth to be lived on, and to be inhabited. Genesis 1:1 told us that God created the earth to be inhabited. The "Tohu", the "destruction", was not part of the creation plan of verse one, but came after the fall of Satan when one third of all the souls followed Satan in the first earth age, in verse two.

Scripture does not speak of other siblings of Cain and Abel at the time of our discussion. You asked who the other people were that Abel spoke of and I gave you one possible answer.

I know the Scriptures. Let that be an end to it.

Believe whatever you want. I believe what Scripture clearly says.

Then why did you ask the question?
You said, "Scripture doesn't speak about other children from Adam and Eve" #81.

I responded with the question #82.
Excuse me! What do you mean Scripture does not speak about other children from Adam and Eve? Have you read Genesis 5:4? https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Genesis-Chapter-5/

Just now in #90 you ask "Then why did you ask the question?"

I asked because Other children belonging to Adam and Eve ARE spoken of in scripture.

I always thought moderators were meant to keep the peace and not stir up unnecessary trouble and strife themselves, so back off with the aggression.

I have just had a note reminding me to pay my subscription. If this nonsense continues, I will be quitting. Is that what you want? Stop heaping coals of fire on your head.

I think you might be mixing up the timelines.

Back in post #80 you wrote, "13 And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear. 14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive (who was he hiding from if there weren't other people?)..."

I replied in the next post with, "Scripture doesn't speak about other children from Adam and Eve but putting 2 and 2 together, it is not difficult to suspect and/or believe there were others...."

To which you replied with, "Excuse me! What do you mean Scripture does not speak about other children from Adam and Eve? Have you read Genesis 5:4? https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Genesis-Chapter-5/"

While your point above is correct, the reference you speak of was sometime after Abel killed Cain. Scripture does not tell us how old Cain and Abel were at the time of Cain's death or if there were other siblings born between their births and the murder of Cain. My point is that considering the lifespan of individuals at the time, it is very conceivable, although not provable, that there could be many generations of descendants of Adam and Eve living already when Abel murdered Cain. This is one explanation to who the others were that Abel was talking about.

I hope this helps clarify things.

Nothing to do with timelines. Cain and Able had sisters. End off. Give it a rest and stop trying to save face. I used to have you on ignore and now I can't or I would.

I'm not trying to save face. I'm trying to be accurate. I provided a possible answer to the question you asked here. Is there anything else I can try to help you with?

Do we all not see the difference in all the different races we have on this earth now ? God had a specific race that Christ had to come through . That's why satan as the serpent went after the woman from which that seed would come .

Not to say that our Father couldn't, but I can't see how all races come from two people yet even without me seeing, I read in His Word male female created He them , be fruitful and multiply , He didn't tell Adam and Eve that , heck Adam didn't even have a Woman .

Even when we go to the flood ,our Father told Noah to take 2 of every FLESH , not just animals .Anyway that's how I see it , no arguments , just wanted a discussion .

Everybody ain't right , only Christ was perfect

So are you saying these sisters and brothers left before Cain ?
Please do not put words in my mouth. I simply said Cain and Able had sisters. Nothing intended or implied.

You could tell me who those people are in the Land of Nod and why they were building a walled city. If you know that is.

I will ,and scripture clearly states that God destroyed this earth . I mean do you actually think God would create anything not perfect at the time He did it ?
Where does Scripture clearly state that God destroyed this earth? If God created something so perfect why would He destroy it? God saw that "it was good" six times in the creation saga.
