Sometimes we have mixed motivations about things.

It is true that I don't want to talk to you;
Obviously it's false that you don't want to talk to me; otherwise, like I said, you'd not be talking to me. Whom do you think you're fooling?
however I am compelled to talk to you
False. And laughable.
in order to not leave things unanswered
You're doing that talking to me, so what's the diff?
because if I did that,
No "if" about it. You have been doing, and continue to do that.
you would have an advantage.
I have the advantage of being on the side of truth and logic, whereas you have the disadvantage of being committed to your war against truth and logic.

When Tritheists say that the Father is not the Son, they also mean that the Son is not the Father.

No rationally-thinking person will ever say "The Father is not the Son, but the Son is the Father." As long as the Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Father.

  • Is the Father the Son? Yes or No?
  • Is the Son the Father? Yes or No?

The Father does not exist in a body of human flesh and so is not the Son.

The Son is the same Spirit as the Father and in that sense He is the Father.

What is so hard about that for you to comprehend?

what those passages denote, is that what seems impossible or illogical is possible and logical with God.
So, there you are admitting that something you would call a "truth of the gospel message" seems illogical to you: viz., that two persons are one person. And then, here, you seem to be saying that that means you are an unbelieving mind:
I infer from this that the truths of the gospel message may in fact seem illogical to the unbelieving mind.

Actually, this is the reality:

I have the advantage of being on the side of truth and logic, whereas you have the disadvantage of being committed to your war against truth and logic.
You just got done admitting that your claim that two persons are one person is illogical, yet you nevertheless want to be thought of as being on the side of truth and logic. LOL

The Son is in no sense the Father.

You despise logic, and thus, you are proud of your self-contradiction in saying out of the one side of your mouth that the Father is not the Son (true) while saying out of the other side of your mouth that the Son is the Father (false). You're not going to be able to whitewash your self-contradiction, justbyfaith.

It doesn't seem illogical to me; but I think that you were testifying that it seems illogical to you.

There is no contradiction in what I am saying.

But you appear to be trying to instigate me. I am not speaking out of two sides of my mouth but am declaring to you what is sound doctrine.

What do you mean by "contradiction"?
  • Is the Father the Son? Yes or No?
justbyfaith: <NO ANSWER>

What do you mean? Instigate you to do what?

False.

False.
It doesn't seem illogical to me
Then lay out a syllogism which you imagine will "prove" your asinine claim that two persons are one person. Let's see your "premises", your "evidence" that you imagine support your claim.

An anthropomorphism.
I guess so

Then there came a voice from above the vault over their heads as they stood with lowered wings. 26 Above the vault over their heads was what looked like a throne of lapis lazuli, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man. 27 I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him. 28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him.

Yes, I believe that this particular scripture is speaking of the Son.

I already did; and I have answered you where you have said that I did not answer.

I really think that you are trying to instigate me. I am ready to put you on Ignore.

False. Lying about your stonewalling against my questions will not hide it.
I really think that you are trying to instigate me.
You already said that. And I asked you what you meant by it, and you have not told me. Instead, you're just meaninglessly repeating it, like a parrot.
I am ready to put you on Ignore.
👍👍

What's that to me? I mean, I'll still question and criticize the heretical falsehoods and stupidities you bark out against God, the Bible, truth, and logic. And, just like you've done all along not having me on "ignore", you'll continue to fail to deal rationally with my questions and criticism.😀

You didn't state the creed, or I missed it.
Please repeat,,,,
My apologies, wondering. Based on the thread title, I thought we were discussing the Bible. It never dawned on me that we were talking about man-made religion. This is why I was dismissive of Constantine and the diagrams people draw. This must be why 'justbyfaith' is having such a hard time. I thought I was on a Christian forum. That was my mistake. For future reference, my faith is based on the teachings of Jesus and the apostles.

In Ezekiel? This is the Father. I thought the Son with your theology began with Mary?

God is not just a formless Spirit. He is someone the host of heaven can come before and bow down to and worship.
God does have the ability to send out "His" Spirit apart from His bodily presence. - The Spirit of God

The Son here is the Son of Man
Daniel 7
As I looked,

“thrones were set in place,
and the Ancient of Days took his seat.
His clothing was as white as snow;
the hair of his head was white like wool.
His throne was flaming with fire,
and its wheels were all ablaze.
10 A river of fire was flowing,
coming out from before him
.
Thousands upon thousands attended him;
ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him.
The court was seated,
and the books were opened.

“In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. 14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

The Son is the Son in that He came in human flesh.

And you are right because the Father created the worlds through Jesus Christ (the Son); even as Jesus had ascended to exist outside of time.

You seem to have forgotten that in my theology, the risen Jesus exists outside of time; even into eternity past.

So, it is entirely possible that He created the worlds, as the Son.

But I will say that it is sound doctrine to believe that Jesus is the Son of God in that He is come in flesh.
You believe the Spirit of the living God, Jesus, was in a human body? How is He fully human?

True.

And the Bible nowhere teaches that only one person is the only true God.

Which one of the following, two things did Jesus say when addressing His Father, and which one of them did He not say?
  1. "Thee, the only true God"
  2. "Thee, the only person who is the only true God"

And, like I pointed out:

If you think otherwise, feel free to give us a verse in which you imagine it is said that a god must be one, and only one, person.
Yes, specifically the Father alone.

But then the church does state the Father alone is unbegotten.

Jesus is the only begotten God or only begotten Son. Both meanings are found in different manuscript family's and a like to like begotten Son would be God and would be God's Son not the Father.
