Hi Highway54

While I'm not willing to call it a normal pregnancy, because the woman did not wind up pregnant in any sense of 'normal', yes, from that point on, Jesus' zygote was fed through his mother's placenta and he was born through the normal birth canal process.

I also believe that what the Holy Spirit did as he overshadowed the mother, was to place within her uterus, a fully formed zygote. I don't believe that Jesus had any of the father's DNA or the mother's. A fully prepared zygote, whose Father was God, was implanted in Mary's womb and attached to her uterine wall.

However, I also understand that this is not a concept made clear in the Scriptures. But I just don't understand why, if there was none of Joseph's DNA, because everyone agrees that he provided no sperm for the conception, that the zygote came from an egg that belonged to the mother. God had to make Jesus perfect and sinless and I believe that He did that by implanting the fully formed zygote in Mary's womb. Which, of course, only makes Mary his mother by the process of birthing the child, but not through any hereditary connection. Just as Joseph is understood to be Jesus' earthly father because he was married to Mary, while we all, at least I think all believers, understand that Joseph had absolutely no physical part of Mary winding up pregnant. It just makes sense to me.

I've studied a lot of 'christian' based faiths. I find that there is absolutely no reason to accept any Mormon doctrine, but I'm a bit more hesitant about denying any truth in the JW doctrine. But not all. Which I find is actually true of a lot of such religious denominations. I mean, I think the Catholic doctrines and practices are pretty 'wrong', also. But what they propose, or understand, as our lives on the new heaven and the new earth will be like, I find some agreement. We aren't destined to live in heaven. Our future eternal existence will be on a planet much like this one that God will recreate or rebuild. We will live in peace and good will for all who find themselves so blessed as to have received God's gift of abundant, eternal life through our faith in what God has done for us in Jesus.

God bless,
Ted
Ted, what you describe is completely fictional made up in your own head. There is no scripture for this. Since the Bible says God’s ways are beyond what we can think up, and this is entirely thought up, it’s unlikely to be accurate. I think it’s better not to make up what God supposedly did.

The whole discussion is because H said God “created” all humans including Adam and Eve, making no distinction between God creating Adam from the dust of the ground and reproduction. Would have been better to admitted this rather than he insisting on it.

Hi Highway54

since you are on the fence on the Mary side of it
Well, I'm not actually on the fence about it. I just can't offer any Scriptural support to make it a factual claim.

Romans 5:12 really doesn't address this issue. Yes, sin entered the world through one man, but by the time Jesus was born we find that 'all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God'. If that's true, then Mary was a sinner, just as much as Joseph. So, I believe without hesitation, that the fetus of Jesus didn't have any of either Joseph's or Mary's DNA. I understand that many believe that Mary was the actual biological mother of Jesus. But then I also know that the Catholic doctrine is that Mary is the mother of God. So, again, if you've got something that 'proves' that a biological part of Mary, specifically the egg that would have been impregnated with the sperm from a man, was, in fact a part of Jesus formation in her womb, I'm all ears.
Ted, what you describe is completely fictional made up in your own head.
Right! I have been open about presenting it as purely an understanding that I have. However, as far as 'provability', your claim is as baseless as mine. Nowhere do the Scriptures provide any evidence as to the genetic or biological parent contribution to the person/infant of Jesus. It just isn't there, dear. However, I'm always willing to look at any evidence to the contrary.

God bless,
Ted

You said, “Do you agree that the three people mentioned above were not born through the natural processes by which humans are conceived?”

Conception is one event. Jesus was conceived. Jesus was born. Adam wasn’t conceived or born.

A misunderstanding. Highway54 insists babies are created. They are not. They are conceived. Jesus is God’s only BEGOTTEN (conceived) sin. ADAM wasn’t begotten. This difference is in the scripture and I believe it.

Please give me the scripture that describes how Jesus was conceived in this detail.

Yes I agree except you’re imagining more than scripture says.

No, Highway54 doesn’t. He thinks babies are created, not conceived.

Don’t recall that I did. But since you bring it up, your post above is full of false claims about me. Please practice what you preach!

The beautiful thing about being in writing is it cannot be taken back, so perhaps you can quote where I ever said that maam.

We simply know that Jesus' Father is God. Keep in mind many "miracles" performed then can be done today. A woman does not have to have sex to become pregnant for decades now. Resurrections from the dead are performed daily. I personally went through a parting of the sea. The Bible simply does not say but we believe Mary was a virgin, and bore Jesus her firstborn. If that is untrue, then what hope would any of us have Ted. We both believe that, and anything else is simply speculation.

I think it would be quite impossible for any faith not to have some truth, but I think no faith has absolute truth, but one faith does belong to God, and the Bible identifies it beyond any doubt. People have the responsibility to recognize God's people and go with them Ted Zech 8:23.

Every single human was born in sin Ted, every one sir, from the time of Adam. Although the Bible does not use the term, we all inherited sin and death from Adam.

Hi Highway54

Could you expound on that? Exactly what 'sea' parted for you to go through?

God bless,
Ted
Universal studios apparently did a movie on it, and while on the tour, the sea the tram went through parted, it opened an area and drained the water for the tram to go through. Sure it is nothing, but for some strange reason people in Bible times were quite primitive, imagine how an airplane, helicopter, with a laser weapon installed would have been written about, maybe like Jehovah's chariot? Many miracles of those times are commonplace today.

Hi Highway54

Surely you jest! You liken some amusement ride to the parting of the Red Sea that allowed several hundred thousand people to walk through a chasm created by water standing on both their right hand and their left? Ok.

God bless,
Ted

No one but you says God creates babies. Why not admit it?

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Babies are procreated by the man and woman, however we must not forget that we are spirit beings, with a soul and physical body.

The burden of the word of the LORD against Israel. Thus says the LORD, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: Zechariah 12:1

Our parents are responsible for giving birth to our flesh.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6

Perfect!! The point that Adam was created and Jesus was conceived (begotten) and therefore different, must be important since John 3:6 describes Jesus as God’s “only begotten son.” If scripture makes a difference there we ought to stand by that.

That’s Augustine’s theology, for sure. The bible writers didn’t use the term because they hadn’t heard of it.

No it really is no comparison, but it was in fact a small scale model. You and I know that man can install walls and pump out water. I am just saying that many miracles then, are basic facts now. Nothing on that scale has ever been done by man, but I do believe God did it, as well as the flood which many do not believe. Heck, there are many people who do not even believe Jesus ever roamed the earth, can you believe that?

Hi Highway54

Hence why they are called 'unbelievers'. Where it is a problem for the fellowship of believers is when some of those unbelievers hang out with the believers.

God bless,
Ted

Rom 3:23; 5:12
Babies cannot sin. Isn’t this obvious? In Roman’s 5:12 sin entered THE WORLD, not Adam. Paul goes to extra lengths to say “death through sin” not death through an inborn nature.Sin entered the world, men died because they chose that sin. Sin did not enter man. Do you read the scripture you post? This isn’t the first time you’ve thrown out verses that don’t support your position.

Since you seem to think you are correct, show me the one who has not sinned, surely someone from the past would fit your definition, they will be easy to identify because they will still be alive, was there any from a thousand years ago that you can show me, you will certainly make history here because as far as Google knows the oldest living human is only a little over 116 yrs old. Was she the first one who has never sinned, I guess time will tell.
