My Dear friend Norman... It has touched my heart deeply that you are concerned for my little green creature friend.
I am new to this "pet" experience... and find that because he is so quiet... I tend to forget he is even here.
I am still waiting for your sympathy card to arrive regarding the loss of my beloved frying pan.... I am hoping it might come with flowers attached.

BUTTONS... I would like to talk about buttons. I bought a bag of buttons at the Value shop a few days ago... I am just now putting them in a container to add to my flourishing arts and crafts supply ( which is another topic altogether )... Within this bag of buttons... there were a bunch of loose ones... ( which is what one would expect when they buy a bag of buttons ).... What I did not expect or notice at the time of purchase is that half these buttons are separately packaged into individual teeny weeny little bags of their own... ONE button in one little zip lock baggie... WHAT is up with that??
I am all for celebrating the uniqueness in all of us.... including buttons... but really????? I have spent the last half hour taking ONE button out of many little baggies. GOOD GRIEF!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Lookie... I found this button survey.... It's not usually my "style" to give feed back on much of anything... although a few weeks ago... I did complain that my frozen pizza only had two little slices of pepperoni on the WHOLE pizza... I could not believe that it was called a pepperoni pizza.... Anyways... I got a 6.00 coupon for something free.... just for complaining... It was lovely.
So here we go.... I will fill out my button survey.
Where did you buy your bag of buttons from?
A store.
Were you satisfied with the quality of your buttons?
I am not certain how one assesses the quality of a button but YES... they are assorted and pretty.
Was the packaging of your buttons up to quality standards?
Well here's the thing... I found the packaging not to be very user friendly.
When I bought my bag of buttons... I expected to bring them home and pour them all into a container... easy peasy.... however... upon opening up the large bag... what I discovered... to my horror... is that half the buttons were individually packaged. In light of our global warming and the sudden revolt against plastic waste... I am thinking that it would have been much more economical and "green" to simply allow the buttons to merge and blend together... perhaps these individual ones were only children ( like me ) and were not keen on playing with the other buttons... I get that.... I am the same way. Anyways.... YES the quality of my packaging was very protective.
Overall experience... please add any comments that were not covered in the above survey.

There can certainly be abuses, and there have been plenty of frauds come along in the modern "Pentecostal"era as well (and by that I mean in the last 25 years especially ). But my problem is always with throwing the baby out with the bathwater. I don't let charlatans distract me from the times I've seen genuine gifts in operation, nor do I let them discourage me from believing God can use me in such things if I give my time and energy to seeking Him in prayer and fasting for it.

I am all for God giving His children gifts... and HE is always about doing that... I am just NOT for Christians who run ministries focusing on these gifts. That's just me. If more Christians would simply WORSHIP God for WHO HE IS rather than What He can do... the gifts would be very evident and over flowing in my opinion. ABUSE comes from wrong motives... Give me... give me... is a wrong motive in my opinion.... but please let's not discuss this topic on this thread... I'm sure you have seen that I am all about humour and joy here.
All of us would become chickens if we were standing in the Presence of the Creator of Heaven and Earth in all His Glory. In fact, no man can see Him in the flesh and live.
So here's to us chickens! May we cluck mightily for the Lord! Lol.

It was a funny comment that would've used language that some might've been offended with. I noticed someone liked my self-control comment...I wonder if they're trying to tell me something...something I don't already know. As you know, I am a work in progress. Lol The Lord has a way of bringing me around...no one else can...but He can. He's master of the gentle touch. I hate hurting His feelings. He's so good to me.
