I am sorry but the Bible Paul, Peter, all the other Disciples and Jesus taught from is the found in the first 39 books of the Christian Bible and the remaning 27 are the best Life Application Commentary ever written. All 66 books and letters are the inspired Word of God. All of this being true, Jesus is the author of all of it. (John 1:1-3}
So it is that not just the rule of Hermeneutics must be adhered to but the, very, Word of God is of one context, everything from In the beginning... through and including the very last Amen of The Revelation of Jesus is of one context.
Your in need of a few trips through the scriptures, from beginning to end.

That's a great question. 2 Peter and Jude explain why. they were punished severely for it. Actually the book of Enoch goes into detail about this. The fallen ones essentially hired Enoch to (be their lawyer to God!) petition God for mercy with a promise of not doing it again. Which Enoch did do for them. but there was not any mercy given to them, and part of their punishment consisted of having to watch their children (the Nephilim) die (Nephilim were earth born). The sons of God, being angelic were not affected by the flood because, well, they're angelic beings and can fly.

hey, just for fun. i will post a little from the book of Enoch wherein it relates to the genesis 6 chapter. now i am not trying to say that this is scripture so take this with as much salt as you wish, but it does not seem to contradict scripture, at least depending upon ones perspective. If one is in the least bit willing to even consider the remote possibility of the truth of the Angels fornicating with earthly women, then it would serve to fill in some holes of the story. I am not asking anyone to receive it as truth, but more along the lines of entertainment. We all must consider our own beliefs of this crazy planet and decide for ourselves (and pray) about everything. One thing I will say is that we all seem to agree that Enoch was certainly a man of god and walked with God, so much so that god decided to take him. Enoch was a scribe of righteousness and it is said that the book of Enoch was not intended for the past generation, but for a distant generation to come. Could we be that generation? The book was lost for many years, and coincidentally has resurfaced in these times. huh. Imagine that. So without further ado, i give you some verses from Enoch for your amusment.

was a righteous man whose eyes were opened by
the Lord, and he saw a Holy vision in the
Heavens, which the Angels showed to me. And I
heard everything from them, and I understood
what I saw: but not for this generation, but for a

And you know the rest of the story about Noah and the flood. Even if this is not scripture, it's as good as any sci-fi book I've ever read, lol. And who knows? No one one really does, but it has the potential to perhaps actually be true. What was Enochs job anyway? Do we think that he's was taken up to go sit on a cloud and sip margaritas? He probably was shown some things, and told to do some things by God. Interesting book for sure.

Another cool (fairy tale) in the book was of Noah. When Noah was born;
106.2 And his body was white like snow, and
red like the flower of a rose, and the hair of his
head was white like wool. And his eyes were
beautiful and when he opened his eyes he made
the whole house bright, like the Sun, so that the
whole house was exceptionally bright.
106.3 And when he was taken from the hand of
the midwife he opened his mouth and spoke to
the Lord of Righteousness./
Wow! noah began speaking immediately. his father Lamech was scared of him and ran to his father Methuselah and asked what was up with this child. He was told that everything was fine with the boy and that he had a job to do for God. We know what that was.

All of that evil that the fallen angels taught to the women and men of the earth, that the book of Enoch speaks of could be the explanation of the biblical verse which says "...and evil was upon the face of the earth..." and God didn't want all these things for man? It has been debated before that the evil spoken of in that verse of the bible simply referred to the common evilness of man. but if that is so...shouldn't we all buy raincoats now? lol

The LORD did not have the book of Enoch canonized for the same reason the Gospel of Thomas was not, they are not the Word of God. Playing with these texts is of Satan.

Actually, not funny, nor is it reverence for the Word of God and that sort of sin can result in one hear, "be gone, I never knew you." Here we are, witnessing the signs Jesus told His disciples to look for to know the season of His return to rapture His own,

No one said it was scripture brother. i suppose most men would rather deny a hard truth than face it. :neutral
But there is plenty of canonized scripture that has been posted to give much credence to the Angel theory that in no intelligent way has been shown to be false, just emotionalism.

Sin is the easiest thing mankind does. And since the normal person does not ever read the Bible in the manor God commanded us the normal position to find the human body in is with the head buried in a sand pit. Of course this does expose our least defensible parts to open assault.
Said all of that to give context to this. There is a scripture in the New Testament warning us, the words of Jesus, it is better to have a Mill Stone tied about our necks and drown than it is to mislead one of God's little ones astray. There is also a warning to not be teachers because of the more severe judgment we must stand.
With this in mind, consider this; Every post you make on this site is recorded on thousands of computers around the world and is held in perpetuity on dozens of servers. These remarks will never, in our life time disappear and there are, without question, children under the age of accountability that can and possibly do read your posts.

It is far, far, to common to make light of the scriptures in this day in age, as is occurring here now. The OP was posted in the Apologetics and Theology Forum, there is nothing there promoting the teaching, speaking nor introduction of heresy.

yet you quote enoch as such. shall I bring what the Talmud says about the nephilum and moses' height? its funny. the giants being as tall as mountains or a 100 ft. if they are at least 100ft what animal would be alive?
