"At our church, there are several with tatts, including several middle aged women"

Does it surprise you? "At our church, there are several middle aged women with tatts"

I never said Christians that decide to do it are doing it for pagan reasons. However, I did say that I believe the practice of tattooing is a worldly/pagan practice and as such, Christians should avoid getting them.

Hi Sir, I can appreciate where you are coming from and your comments on this subject are valued.

I know that because of your own experience and the context of your own bodyart and its associations in your mind, you have negative feelings about them. I can understand this.

At around the same time that you came to the Lord, leading you maybe in one direction as regards tattoos, even ones with a faith message, another trend has happened also, which is that women have now achieved complete tattoo equality. Which means that many Godly women of more mature years, knowing that may now freely express their tattoo equality, and aware of the many faith based conversations that arise as a result of tattoo designs that indicate a Biblical subject, are now doing it.

Some Christians may regret this, but for those Christian women of more mature years who choose to use their tattoo equality in this way, I guess it may be said that they are using it as an opportunity rather than an obstacle.

I don't expect, however, that everyone will have similar views about this, which to me is fine also.

Blessings.

PS: jasoncran: you said this a while back; you might not want to say any more now, but I think it can be a matter of good self-control not to go 'over the top'. Blessings.
self-control. you haven't looked around lately at the church and noticed the obeseity and other worldy things.

PS: jasoncran: Something such as a small faith based design inked as a witness tool, such as a Christian fish sign <>< on an arm or wrist, would not necessarily be indicative of a lack of self control, though.

Blessings.

im not going in circles again. you know where I stand.

Okay, fine, Bro! :) but I was putting into context your use of the term self-control, in a way that I hope seems reasonable (?). Blessings.
few would do that, even my sil has non -chrisitan tats that aren't offensive but a simply name or meaning.

yes, the mother of cohen is a Christian. brother meet her in church.but again arts is very grey. I could put the goauld apophis on my back and say with it that im a fan of sg1, but to you that would imply im a pagan.

I guess it depends. Is Cohen's mother, whom you mention, also tattooed (whether or not with a faith based design)?

Blessings.

jasoncran: Oh I remember; joyful lady, was expecting then; (I don't recall if you said her tattoos are faith based, though). God bless the family. Blessings.

I saw her briefly during Christmas. cohen was sleeping and stopped by to give my brother and his a card.

Hope you guys all had a great Christmas, anyhow.

It's not unusual for the both and husband and the wife among young couples to be tattooed, anyway.

Blessings.

People must really love something in the moment to get it permanant tattooed on themself. I like made designs like your avatar for example

PS: Well, it seems like more people, including husbands and wives, are getting decide firmly what they want; often it's a shared theme, whether faith based or not.

jasoncran: Oops, I just realized I must have confused SIL for son-in-law instead of sister-in-law, when you used the term.

my sil has non -chrisitan tats that aren't offensive but a simply name or meaning.
I understand! :)
