So, I ask again...atheists don't believe in a god or in God. they have rejected both God and the devil.

I remember a verse that says: they are of their father, the devil. That is, those who are not the Children of God.

Atheists have rejected both God and the devil and gods. They must belong somewhere? where is that 'somewhere'...... the devil's whom they also rejected?

Please, don't mention science. Anyone can be a scientist. Two fits in one mouth don't apply :)

I think they're just people that haven't yet found the truth.

Maybe I'm wrong but to reject God is to join Satan's camp from God's perspective I think. Whether one that rejects God rejects Satan or not is of no consequence.

NKJV
Matthew 12:
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

NKJV
Mark 9:
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.

NKJV
Luke 9:
50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

If someone rejects God they are serving Satan, regardless of knowing it or not.

Though, here is another question. How does someone reject the existence of something by naming it?

At its core all atheism means is that someone doesn't believe in a god or gods. It doesn't even have to be a flat out rejection, just not being convinced of god claims.

I always found it interesting that the question is frame that Atheists are rejecting God. When that really isn't accurate. Atheists aren't standing in front of God and telling him they are rejecting him not is God manifesting in front of atheists and confronting them. The scenario is usually an atheist rejecting the claims of another person who is making claims that God's rules are this or that God exists. The Atheist is rejecting the claims and the concepts usually.

What you've just done is a very good job of describing rejection of God. Not just a god but the God.

And yet many atheists were once self professing Christians. So they are denying the existence of something they once believed in.

I think atheism is rising because we're entering (have entered?) a post-Christian, post-modern age. The intellectual elites long ago rejected God, and now colleges have a decidedly anti-Christian bias. That is spreading to all strata of society.

I think this word" Athiest" is a nice little handle that most people who do believe in God ,just use in order to do their own little thing.Ibelieve most don't even know what the word means or even entails. And I believe Christs understanding and love extends to these "clever folks" .Christ uses the term "You dont know what your asking for" Mark 10:38 in the context of the disciples fighting for front row sebeliefats in heaven.
Believing in no God is in itself a belief ,believing in nothing is an impossibility for a living person who is made in the Image Of God.
A person who believes "money rules" no matter what, has his God .A person who prays to the Emperor or State ie Marxism also fills a vacuum .
Strangly enough Christians were called "Athiests" from a Roman perspective according to Emperor Julian before Constintine in 370.
So its really just a smoke screen or excuse "People often ask," If Christianity is true , why do the majority of intelligent people not believe it?The answer is precicisely the same as the reason the majority uf unintellgent people don't believe it.They don't want to because there unwilling to accept the moral demands it would make on their lives. We can take a horse to water but we can't make it drink...There isn't a thing you or I can do with a man who , despite all evidence to the contrary , insists that black is white."Paul E.Little -"How To Give Away Your".
So we see the term Athiest is just a relative buzz word depending on what side of the fence one sits.We could quite easily be called "Athiests" from a Hindu Perspective or any other non - Christian belief.

I recently asked someone if they believed in God, and their answer was, "No, I believe when you die everything just stops."

Matthew 12

A fence only has 2 sides.

Indeed it is. In fact, I paraphrased his exact response a bit by adding the phrase "I believe". He does understand that this is his personal belief, and never tries to impose his opinion on anyone. I actually knew him 55 years without knowing he was an atheist.

In all my years of posting in different forums, I have yet to meet an atheist who is humble. I reserve the right to be wrong on that, though.

Uniformly, they have an ego issue because they think that they are smarter than the average Christian, who according to their egocentric philosophy is a mere dolt of some established religion.

No, I am not attempting to brag, or make me superior to anyone, but anyone person who studied presuppositional apologetics can tie the average atheist into a Gordian knot by exposing their fallacious arguments and errors of logic.

An atheist is a perfect example of someone that's so full of themselves there's no room for anything else.. nor can there be in their mind that is..

Can you clarify this a bit? Thanks.

Thanks a lot. I think I didnt pay attention to your statement.

I think actually that statement comes across as being rather arrogant in itself. There are many atheists who are simply people who have not yet found the truth.
